  • Tesco phoned to say yesterday's delivery was cancelled. They told me to book another slot - and the first available day was a pound more for delivery! I think they should keep the same charge.
  • I have had Sainsburys cancel on me 3 times over the last week, I've got a £15 voucher to use against my shopping now which should be here Tuesday we'll see if it arrives.

All I can say is.... the further away from the store (where the vans are based) you live, the more likely your order will be last/late. To avoid this you could book the 'later' slot of each delivery 'window'. (ASDA specific)

    Example... Van 1 (morning) 10am - 12 noon & 11am - 1pm
    Van 2 (afternoon) 2pm - 4pm & 3pm - 5pm
    Van 3 (Evening) 6pm - 8pm & 7pm & 9pm

    Hope this helps.

Thank you socks, yes I do live about half an hour's drive away from the nearest Asda so I probably am last on their list. Strange that you mention booking the 'later' slot as opposed to the 'earlier' slot as I always tend to book the 10-12 or 2-4 slots. I shall try an 11-1 slot next time and see what happens!

    Cheers, Birdy
It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?
  • Call the customer service team for grocery on 08457 225533. Your order status always changes to 'Picked' on the day of delivery. It's automated. You don't need to type it all in again, customer services can copy the order over for you and then pick a new delivery slot. Easy as that. The line is open to 23:00 during the week, and despite the common misconception...the person you speak to will actually be happy to help, provided you don't run off at the mouth at them for something they REALLY had nothing to do with.

Just got an email today stating that as my order was delivered a day later than booked due to bad weather Sainsburys have refunded £15.00 back onto my card :T there was no need for them to do this as the bad weather isn't their fault, so well done to Sainsburys for excellent customer service

I had my Ocado delivery cancelled and I live in the same road as the depot. I know that there were drivers in. They just decided mid morning to cancel all the orders for the day. They didn't text or phone and said they emailed me but I never got it. They can't redeliver until Thursday. They refuse to give any compesensation for this.

These companies don't give a bleep about us. They should have contigency plans in place.
Tesco can do tomorrow, but likely it will be cancelled (I phoned and checked).

I had mine cancelled too, i recieved an email and a text informing me, i managed to re book it and got a free bottle of wine for the inconvenience. How do you know that their were drivers in?? just because you can see the vans their does not mean that the drivers were able to get into work!!
    is officially a GLEEK

Hi I know many of you are not happy with Tesco at the moment but can I just say not all of them are the same. I am a picker for Tesco and about 90% of .com staff made it to work at our Tesco. With many of us paying for taxis or walking over an hour to get there.
But due to heavy snow and terrible road conditions locally,(many roads closed by the police because of the awful conditions). no deliveries were made. We had 4 members of our staff phone everyone of our customers, the ones they could get hold of, even though it should be done by the callcentre. We ended up putting all the orders we had already picked back on the shelves and have done this several times this week.
So not all Tesco staff dont care about there customers we try our hardest in conditions that are not the norm and I am the first to admit Tesco are not perfect but please dont assume we are all the same.

I know they are not all the same, however my local one is awful. the deliveries always arrive just a minute or two before the time limit, things are always missing, leaking and substituted, always to something more expensive. I have emailed them about a problem with my delivery again on Wednesday night, still no reply and it is Sunday today. I will not be getting a delivery from Tesco again, their service has been appalling.
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Same here, I gave up with Tesco after my last order didn't have any loo roll in it & none was substituted, they said they didn't have ANY loo rolls at all in store - I don't think so ! I complained to them but never heard anything back. I shop in store now usually at Asda.

    regards
