payment isnt taken from your account till all the shopping is collected ready for delivery. So if your order has been cancelled dont think you will have been charged.
Thanks. I didn't get a phone call and mamaged to get through by phone an hour after delivery was due - the gentleman apologised no contact had been made and did say payment had been taken - only when I asked though. System shows the order was delivered so looks like it was picked and then not delivered.
Will give them a call as dont want to re-order from them if they havent credited the original delivery.0 -

laurenjade1402- Hope you made a point of telling your staff how much their efforts were appreciated;)0 -
it is understandable that orders have been cancelled due to the weather, but tesco customer service is very poor in not advising their "valued" customers of the problem with the delivery, BBC watchdog have a short online survey at the moment about which supermarket we use/dont use and why, maybe those of you that are unhappy with the service could fill this indont wait for your boat to come in, get in a dingy and row out to it!!!0

I had a delivery set for tonight, not only have Tesco cancelled (fair enough) but this was the first time Ive managed to get a voucher working for months, now ive got to rebook the order, and guess what? The voucher doesnt work. Grrrrrrr.
Ring customer services, explain what the problem was and maybe they'll credit your account.
Asda cancelled me on Monday, left me the contact number for customer services so I could call and rebook - job done, delivery tomorrowGet free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

I actually take offence at the above sentence. I agree with the phone call bit but not the 'couldn't be bothered to deliver', in this weather?????
I am a (female) driver for ASDA and I was dreading my shift last night. I had a call from a female colleague in a panic who was stuck in the snow and wasn't sure how she was going to get out as the wheels were just spinning on the compacted snow. Luckily she was able to free herself with the help of the customer that she had just delivered to and was able to continue.
I tell you what, I was s**t scared in the floods a year ago as it wasn't until you drove through the 'puddles' on the country roads that you realised they were 'rivers'!
It's the nature of the beast that in weather like this people sitting at home think that they won't risk going out and have their shopping delivered instead so please be patient as we try to get to deliver safely.
Just to add, I do agree that all it takes is a polite phone call but I often find I have no signal out of town but call at the earliest opportunity. I'm sure if you ring your local store rather than the (ASDA - in South Africa) Helpline, they would be more clued up on where their drivers are.
O.K. got to go and feed the reindeer and get the sleigh ready for tonight's deliveries!

I hate Tesco's they are soo rude. I had a delivery cancelled some time ago. They phoned my husband and said they weren't delivering - no reason. He phoned me. It was a really big family party and I had booked all my food to cook a fab meal for 16 of us. I'd gone to have my hair and nails done etc you know what its like :-)
I telephoned them up and they said they didn't have enough delivery vehicles BTW it wasn't knee deep in snow but glorious sunshine - I assume the van must have melted.
I had pre booked way in advance not just the day before. After speaking to the most unhelpful person I asked to be put through to a manager. She was sooo rude I couldnt belive it. I asked her for an alternative and explained the situation and all I got back was no we are cancelling it. I told her if she put it in a taxi it would cost her £6 as I do that taxi journey regularly to the pictures nearby. She absolutely refused and told me tough.
I haven't shopped at Tesco's since I used to spend £200 a week.0 -
I had an order delivery arranged between 11-1pm yesterday and he arrived at 1.10pm and he had been into the North Yorkshire Moors through all the snow.
Must have had his underpants over his trousers :rotfl:0 -

I guess it isn't and maybe I didn't need to mention it, apart from the fact that in the local area to me I have never seen female drivers for Tesco or Sainsburys and me and my colleague are the only female drivers in our department at ASDA.
I sometimes wonder if they 'choose' to employ only men to do this job.
Last night's deliveries were almost on time but I was taking it carefully on the country roads as there was black ice all over.DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

My Tesco delivery was cancelled yesterday as well, totally expected as the local roads were treacherous.
I was given the CS number to ring and re-arrange delivery. When I phoned them I was told they couldn't do it but I could go back online and choose another delivery slot as my order would still be available.
When I explained that I couldn't access my order because it had that note that tells you it's too late to change your order, she told me that, because of the unusual circumstances, it would appear in my basket! She also said
that all offers would be honoured.
Of course, that wasn't the case and so I rang them again but was told I'd have to re-order and there was nothing they could do about it
On this occasion it would seem Tesco could learn a lot from Asda0
