You and i really should have a chat one day aout the power of prayer.God and possy thourts You may be shocked in a happy way of the stuff that i could tell you.

We already had an inch of snow when I woke up in the early hours but it's coming down thick and fast now. It looks gorgeous out there but I still haven't ventured out. I have mixed up lots of goodies for the birds, though, and will go and put it all out after breakfast. Heaven knows, they'll need it.

If anyone has no choice but to travel today, please take it easy - arriving late is better than not arriving at all.

Well its white over here but there is only a dusting! So the local kids will have to go to school here The news says that its really bad in places and that there is more on the way:eek: So there is a chance that by rush hour tonight it could be bad here too.

Diva i hope that your OH is feeling better bad heads are really bad when that strike. I know i get them.

Pincher I hope thins get better with the snow were you are. and i hope that people rember to keep themselfs safe and each other safe.

Well today iv got to go out its my day to signe on at the job center. Iv also got a meeting with a bloke there about helping me get back into work and it could be harder for me to find work because of my illness. and the fact that im waiting on resluts that if bad will mean that i wont be able to work for months!
Every get the feeling that it all happens at once!?

morning all!

we have snow in Worcestershire! not really pleased though as DH is out in it delivering his milk and DS is supposed to go to college 20 miles away but I think I will ring in as its supposed to get worse here later - dont want him gettingstuck there.
DH had to be towed by the snow plough this morning:eek: this was in Ludlow(shropshire)he's off to Herefordshire now to finish his round - we live on the border of the 3 counties.
I've got the day off so no problems for me, I'm off to the docs this afternoon but I will walk. I'm going for my repeat smear, I've had 2 lots of treatment already and was going to have a hysterectomy but they decided to wait and see what happened instead:rolleyes: . Not looking forward to it but I know its very important to get it done.

got leftover lentil cottage pie for tea
not much else going on here ATM

Good morning

I haven't been on here for well over a year, since I first started work full-time. But this morning DH rang me to say don't bother going in - he has already taken over an hour and is not yet at work, and it's about 8 miles to where he works, and I have to go 5 miles further than him. Also, it's snowing heavily there, although it seems to have eased up a bit here.

So I am having a day off and thought I would pop in here and say hello.

Good morning everyone,it's realy pretty here.We have an icing sugar sprinkling of snow and since it's just getting light for some reason the sky is all pink and lilac.I'm just sitting here with the blinds open in bed enjoying the view.
I've had my washing in so it should be just ready to peg out and I've got the weekly clean to start today.
You have to laugh at us in this country don't you,we get a titchy few inches of snow and we think the world's going to collapse.It always amuses me to see people's reactions.I'm beginning to wonder if the country's been turned upside down though since you southeners seem to be getting all the weather we northerners usually get.Strange realy.
Happy about the good news MSD,hope things continue this way.
Tru, have you had words with your neighbour about the mouse problem.I would since if she also has them and does'nt get rid of them they'll only just keep coming back.My daughter had this problem and until her neighbour took action she was just wasting her time and money trying to get rid of them as they always re-appeared.

Good Morning all

We have at least 4 inches of snow here in Kent. DH has gone to work and I haven't heard from him and he hasn't come back, so the roads must have improved. DS works in a school and found out about 10 mins ago that its shut for today so he's a happy bunny, I'm not cos I've got housework to do and he will be under my feet :rolleyes: Have a Tesco delivery lunchtime, hope he gets up my hill ok.

MSD - glad to hear the good news about Tristan, hope he carries on improving.

No sign of N9eav yet on here - hangover???

It seems that you have had all our snow too!!!!!!! We only have a bit here but theres still time as its still snowing. I shall be walking to the job center today.

I hope you husband gets on ok with his milk!

morning all

snowing here too cars and grass white but the roads are bare, plenty of salt on them
dreading the fuel bills when they arrive this month have tried to be frugal but the weather has been so cold
had a nice afternoon with dd, dh and the boys tenpin bowling on saturday

am trying to use up the contents of the freezer and storecupboard and not buy in so much, have noticed farmfoods have upped their prices a lot recently but lidl are worth a look and their luxury muesli at £1.49 is very nice also always look for the cheaper loose apples in asda currently 37p a kilo normally 63p, jonagold and very sweet and juicy the variety varies but always good, why pay more
