  • Yes definitely fill up the bidet and pee into that... I couldn't manage the jug pouring thing so just used to squat in the bath and spray it with the shower... :o Was dead scared when Aimee was a week old and we went to my Nan's and I needed a wee... But it was just bearable then thankfully!

This is only when you have tearing or have been cut yes??

I'm SO glad I am not having either of those.

    My birth plan:
    Pain, pain, push, push, BABY!!
    YAY :T :T

This one is not being written on my top tips list...it has been etched into my memory for ever more _pale_

*sniggers* sorry..... *giggles* but it really does work.... as does peeing in the bidet which was the only way I could go after DS1 (I had labia tearing, not sore except when peeing!). Oh you just loose all self respect after birthing.

Feely, I think it may actually be a positive experience for you and your PTSD. You may feel now that you will be out of control, but try and get in the 'zone', your body is just being truely amazing. When your actually there and going through it, it is very different.

I'm hoping that what I have said is true, I'm certaily not looking forward to 'it' myself, just trying to think good thoughts 'yes I will probably have a section BUT I will make sure they listen to me, I will be prepared, it won't be a shock this time'. I'm trying to see it as a way to exorsise my deamons.

I'm not looking forward to the bleeding.

I went on the pill when I was 11, then on the Depo at 12. Been on the Depo pretty much all my adult life. I'd say that since I was 11, I've had maybe 10 periods? I don't like periods at all, horrible, horrible, horrible.

Wonder if that is a PTSD related thing too, think I just don't like being out of control of that part of me, if you know what I mean.

Feely hope you don't mind me saying but as you have mentioned a weight problem I thought I might mention it :)
I have been on the Depo too and both times for a few years - both times I was taken off it because of severe weight gain... When you have had little 'un I would seriously recommend you speak to your GP about NOT going back on it... I have found the weight VERY difficult to shift and yet until I was on the Depo I was a size 12...
Not saying it's the only cause but please discuss it with your GP when you start considering birth control again - you might find that something else is more suitable and if you want it might be easier to lower your BMI if you want once you've been off it for a year :)

You would of had to go for the over 30's size this year anyway wouldn't you? ;)

FG, is it safe to be on depo that long? I had it for about 18mo but didn't fancy having it any longer than that...

Shush you meanie :rotfl: I'll have you know it's firm down there (I put that down to horse riding btw... nothing like it for exercising your pelvic floor it would seem ;) )

I remember being in a girls only assembly at 14 and they were handing out free tampax. All the other girls were chucking them around and giggling but I felt like a complete idiot as I didn't know what they were. Next period I spent ages in the bathroom trying to figure them out but when I asked my mum for some she said they were to expensive. When I told my best friend she told her mum and she used to buy them for me until I earnt money of my own.
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p
