Maternity pads reminded me of the horrible things my mum gave me when i started my periods.

Can't believe there are end Oct dates on the list, never realised how quickly time had gone.

Would that be Doctor Whites? Boots still sell them!!! :rotfl:

Sorry, keep forgetting you are a first timer!

OK, after you have baby and you have to visit the loo for a number 2, it's a good idea to use a pad and hold it against yourself 'down there' at the front so that when you strain (very gently), it doesn't make you feel like you're going to fall out... get me now? It's especially good if you have tearing or have had to be cut. Just trust me on this ;)

Ta! I think I get it.. I just don't wanna think about it too much just yet! ;) _pale_
This one is not being written on my top tips list...it has been etched into my memory for ever more _pale_

I just thought the very same! :(

I wouldn't go to the next without phoning them first coz I have never seen a next that actually stocks any maternity

I'm hating maternity shopping too!! I thought it would be easier now I'm a sz12 (Apparently size 8 people don't get preg either ) but i now have evn less choice as my M&S don't have the maternity stuff in store anymore :(

I think thats why that famous religious family in America that have about 15 have given them all 'J' names saves time when you forget :rotfl:

My last 2 cars (peugeot 206) have been bought from new - although the one I have now I bought in August 08, it was registered in March 08, dealer didn't sell 15 so had to buy them and then couldn't sell them for 3 months. So I got about £2,500 off the car as it was classed as second hand and it only had 5 miles on the clock. Don't think I could go back to an older car as I can't put up with the hassle.
When you are next looking pop down the road from work towards sainsbury's and look at Stweart Ireland, I'm on my 2nd car from there, Can't fault them for price and service ;) and they are all less than 2yrs old, most band new pre-regs with less than 10miles on the clock :D

A tip - use chocolate in the trap not cheese. (not your rolo's though!!)... Dad swears by chocolate - says he always catches more
well MY dad swears by dog biscuits :p probably as that is what attracts them to their shed!
You know how I feel - I get more frustrated with you than I do with my own hubby - at least he knows it is not worth arguing with me  :DSomeone else please tell AF that if they kept being sent to the hospital to have the baby monitored that they would be taking some time off work please...
I'm agreeing with MFD you've had one too many scares recently!!! No more work for you missy! :naughty:

yay just got a baby bath (which DH will probably moan about because it's second hand *sigh*) A chicco pushchair and a changing bag that matches the buggy :) The wheels are pretty worn but surely it's possible to get new ones for a Chicco? Freecycle rocks though :) Very nice lady although much braver than me with 4 small kids
Now I can start training Kira to walk by a buggy hopefully - one of my major musts before Roo actually arrives. I know we're buying an iCandy but I reacon it will come in handy both with training her and as an extra buggy to keep in Daddy's car maybe? hmmm :D
If you contact Chicco they should be able to give the buggy a service and replace the wheels ;)
My dad broke my buggy and Cosatto where very good, sent a courier to pick it up, fixed it and sent it back by courrier within 7 days - as it was "user error" that damaged the pram I was supposed to pay for the repair but they forgot to charge me :T

Good Idea to start taking Kira out with the buggy!! "my" (ie my dog and her mum that live with my 'rents) are very good on the lead but had a bit of trouble avoiding falling over the pram wheels at first, poor things they've only got skinny little ankles too being greyhound crosses

  • caz, mooncups are fantastic! Took me a year to pluck up the courage to fork out for one but haven't looked back since!

And definitely seond the bran flakes for after the birth... I didn't push anything, I waited for nature and gravity to take effect... And ate lots of oranges and bran in the mean time!

Yes definitely fill up the bidet and pee into that... I couldn't manage the jug pouring thing so just used to squat in the bath and spray it with the shower... :o Was dead scared when Aimee was a week old and we went to my Nan's and I needed a wee... But it was just bearable then thankfully!
