Maternity pads reminded me of the horrible things my mum gave me when i started my periods.

Can't believe there are end Oct dates on the list, never realised how quickly time had gone.
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p
  • What exactly do braxton hicks feel like. I should know really with this being my third baby but i am not so sure i have had them before. However this time I too get incredible pain when walking and have done for 2 weeks now. Much like a really bad stitch to the point i can hardly walk.

Well - I am assuming that's what these are lol - it's like my whole bump tightens and hurts and it kind of takes my breath away.

I was getting them loads when I walked around the supermarket (it's quite a long way around if you go up and down every aisle I guess. Now it is pretty much every time I do anything standing.

And my poor hubby can't do right for doing wrong. If he doesn't react to my intakes of breath and groans I get cross that he doesn't care and if he looks all sympathetic and asks if I am okay I say 'I will tell you if it gets any worse' :rotfl:

I would hate to be the husband of a pregnant woman!!

They have to put up with a lot don't they!

My belly keeps going hard... Has done for a while really but sometimes it's really uncomfortable! Had BH with Aimee but they were really short tightenings that came at set times for an hour or so then tailed off... Don't remember my whole bump going rock hard... Baby's not keen either, it just happened and baby started hammering top and bottom!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • I haven't used a pad of any kind since I was about 16...which is before they even had wings!! I am really not looking forward to it - I remember all too well the trouble I had with those bl00dy surfboards as a kid. I started my periods at 9 and by 13 they were unbearably heavy :o

Kind of hoping that the bleeding afterwards will be similar to that!

Urgh - strange memories of being constantly paranoid that people can smell you when you are wearing pads come flooding back _pale_

Edited to add - apologies ladies for my poor choice of words...

I'm not looking forward to the bleeding.

I went on the pill when I was 11, then on the Depo at 12. Been on the Depo pretty much all my adult life. I'd say that since I was 11, I've had maybe 10 periods? I don't like periods at all, horrible, horrible, horrible.

Wonder if that is a PTSD related thing too, think I just don't like being out of control of that part of me, if you know what I mean.
