thanks AM thats exatcly what i've been looking for...
i just want to make sure we have the basics and then if anyone wants to buy us something i can point them in the right direction!!
so what i'm thinking now is.... decent travel system, ideally one with carrycot for downstairs. moses basket for upstairs and then after 6 months a cot bed. so baby can go into their room...
and how expensive is nursery furniture!! know we'll need chest of drawers for baby clothes etc but do we reall need a changing table?? my mum used to change all of us on the sofa or floor!!

I am fighting an overwhelming urge to go to Ikea now!!

Nursery not quite cleared out yet so need to hold on a little while longer.

Hubby went to superdrug an hour ago (its 2 min drive away). Think he's gone to clean my car as a surprise. That is his idea of a romantic gesture!!

There's a changer on the top of Aimee's chest of drawers... But it has a big dolls house on it now... So looks like this baby will be changed on the floor in the lounge (I very rarely bothered taking AImee upstairs to change her anyway...)

MFD... I got frustrated and apparently spoke to him in a not very nice way when he told me the washing in the dryer was still damp... After we'd had a conversation where I told him I'd had to put it on a 3rd time.... And when I asked him to bring me the stuff that was dry he bought it all in... And surprise surprise it was all dry... Then I told him to shut up and stop going on at me when he kept on about how mean I was.... You could try that? lol
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Moses baskets can be picked up second hand for as little as about £20, but you should always buy a brand new mattress for it.
In the mothercare Jan sale there was a brand new (obv) Moses Basket for £20

Tine - I spotted ur post on the chilcare thread and just thought I'd mention you don' have to discount an au pair if u don't have a spare bedroom for them, I'm sure you can get ones that don't live with you :D

    Hello ladies with bumps ;)

Have been reading this thread for a few days now & loads of great info thanks. I'm 15 wks pregnant with twins and haven't a clue what we need!!!
So the lists are a great help thanks.

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here but i bought the tomy tippee nappy wrapper thingy in Tesco's was supposed to be reduced from £29.99 to £9.99 so i thought it was a great bargain......until i went to Asda it's only £5 in there!!!!. So bought another one & Tesco can have theirs back

Just wondered if anyone has any advice on twin buggys that both seats can be used from birth, would really appreciate any advice.

    Thanks in advance :)

    Hi Dooleys
Icklebeans on here is about 26wks with twins and I know she joined TAMBA and got some great advice from them about prams but I can't remember which one she got in the end but will go have a look for you :D
Successful outcome to all our research! We have finally bought a pram for the twins. It is the icandy pear tandem pram. We have played with it and it seems easy to use etc:

We have the pram and the carry cots. Maxi Cosy car seats fit this model but we are buying these from the internet as they are cheaper (MSE!).
