  • AM i dont think you are overreacting at all, you are right in that the teachers probably do talk about the kids in the staff room, but to another parent is completely wrong. i would ask the teachers what has been done about it and make sure you are happy with the outcome. Anyway dont let it get you down, just keep thinking about the great things the teacher said about him and how well he is doing.

    Morning All

Sami - as promised...weather update!! Right, it actually looks OK outside, No ice or snow!! It was cold when I opened the door to say bye to dh though... The sky is grey, but it was like that yesterday and then turned lovely and bright by the afternoon. What time are you going to the Zoo?? I can let you know whether the grey clouds turn to rain or if they clear if you want...as it is, it looks like it should be OK for you!!!
Don't worry about the drawers:) I will get something sorted out...thanks though:D

Ds1 was at a friends for dinner last night, so ds2 had a simple dinner of sausage and beans on toast! Me and dh had a lovely take-away after the boys had gone to bed:)

Was anyone else hot last night?? I was awake most of the night, soooo hot! ended up taking bit of clothing off every now and then until I ended up in the Nuddy!!!!

    Mel x

  • my heating broke yesterday, the pilot light went and wouldnt come back on, its happened before and means the thermocouple (?) needs replacing. i was thinking we would be freezing over the weekend until we could get an engineer out and then it would cost us a fortune but OH tried to light it again before he went to work and it came on:T so we will be nice and warm today:j

Anyway, im going to ring the doctors at 9 and make an appointment but i dont know who to make one with. shall i just say to the receptionist "ive just found out im pregnant, who do i make an appointment with?" i hate making phonecalls when i dont know what to say! and it doesnt help that the receptionists are horrible!
  • when i found out i was preg i just rang the surgery and told them id i was approx 5 weeks preg and she booked me in with the gp, when i went to see him he said, oh youve been here before 4 yrs ago i dont need to do another test then do i?? he didnt even check my bp, he refered me to the MW, that was it!!
always on the lookout for a bargin always better when its free!!:T

Jacksons mum - yeah that sounds like a plan :) some surgeries are different from others - some don't want you particularly to see the doc, others do but do no checks to see if you ARE pregnant and others again want to take bloods to send off to test to see if you are pregnant... Asking the receptionist seems like a good place to start :)

    jacksons mum

For the first, say, 10-12wks my belly went massive but It was mainly hormones/water retention, because it went back down again at approx 10-12wks. Then at about 14-16wks I started to get a real baby belly!!
Do you have any idea at all of how far you might be?

Did u meet OH through t'internet?
Kind of... There was a group of us that used to use a local chatroom thing on MSN and we all started meeting up in person and hanging out... He was one of the group... but we didn't get together until 6 years later... And funnily enough, going on from the conversation earlier about how your friends change when you have a baby... Of the group of people I would of considered my friends when I found out I was pregnant... Hubby and his best mate and one other friend are the only ones I still talk to in person... A few of the others talk to me on facebook now but I haven't seen them since I was pregnant...

And searching, I used to have a friend that sounds like yours, very self absorbed and always hassling me to go out clubbing with her, she couldn't understand why I didn't want to leave my new baby and go out and get hammered... Well she got pregnant and I thought it might settle her down but she was just as bad after, even leaving the baby with her Mum when it was 8 weeks old to go and 'wet it's head' even though she'd had a CS and complications she was dancing and getting drunk... Then about 6 months after I split up with my bf of the time she wrote me a letter to tell me he was the father of her baby.... I haven't spoken to her since... Its been lovely!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
