Elle found this bit and I think this is probably the critical bit from the gov website:

So right now I am going direct to my employer but have requested H&S assess me. If Work don't agree with me and either H&S OR my doctor does then my employer SHOULD take action right? :)

    Right! In fact, it's not a SHOULD, it's a HAS TO :)

Did you mention a meeting with Occ Health the other day, or do you not have OH facilities? Obviously bear in mind, OH might be on the side of your employer so you might have to get your own doctor to back you up if OH sway towards the employer. Ideally, it shouldn't come to that, but keep up going to your GP to make sure there's something on your records too.

Re: getting a sicknote (technical name is "Med3"). They are usually issued in terms of weeks - ie for 1wk, 2wks or 4wks - at a time. If you don't want it to look too suss, I suggest you get an appointment with your GP for a Monday. That way, they will issue you with a note for Xwks, then you keep going back for more up until the latest one you have runs out on the Sunday before you want to start Mat Leave on the Monday ;)

I've just added the link for T&G to my earlier post :)

My OH slept on the sofa for FIVE hours solid tonight so he's now wandered off to his comp room, wide awake! I might need him to pull me up from the sofa too - the bottom of my back feels like it's fallen asleep! :(

Searching - My BIL tried to explain to me how MS is an evolutionary safe guard, making you throw up ur first meal in case its poison - I think i shot him down quite well :o Don't mess with a worse for wear pg lady ;) I was like so why is it worse on an empty stomach, why is it so bad for lots that they lose weight, why do we get all the other poop that gives us nothing but grief....
He was like "ok ok I was just saying.." Me: "well don't just say anything until you've been pregnant :p"
