Sami - I'm indian and Oh is white, his uncles family are very religious and VERY ignorant! We had some huge issues around the wedding when they said they would come to the church ceremony and not the indian ceremony, so we told then that they either came to both ceremonies or not to bother coming to either, so they just came to the reception instead. The point is we had both ceremonies to show respect to both sides of the family, so why couldn't they show me the same respect? My and OH are both Athiests so it wasn't like we needed to have a religious ceremony at all, let alone 2!

rant over...back to happy baby thoughts!
I completely made that up didn't I

I'd love to see a 'proper' Indian wedding they always look so beautiful!
    oh well their problem! xx

Mmmmm I have to say if I had it recommended to have a C-section I'd go with the medical advice so long as I felt confident the doctor/consultant had explained to me why it should be a C-section. I do have on my notes though that unless absolutely necessary then I want to avoid a CS but that is partially because I scan really badly and just personal preference. If I had a breech then I'd go with the advice given :)
As for the cutting of the cord... Neither DH nor I have any wish to cut it ourselves- I know to some it's a big deal but to us it just isn't. And when to cut it? Hmmmm well if anyone has links to medical papers about the benefits of leaving it to pulsate for a while I'm happy to read them :) Otherwise then clean that little bundle of joy and hand her to me :rotfl:
I know I probably differ from many but I don't want them to hand her to me till she's been cleaned etc :) I have no desire to see my baby covered in blood and stuff - I just don't want my first memory of her to be looking like that... weird I know :)

Wow they are lovely! I'm loving the pink!
One of my friends on FB had pics of her wedding, she's from Pakistan, well she was bought up over here but you know what I mean.
Anyway, the colours were amazing, and her and her hubby were bloody gorgeous, they had a civil ceremony aswell I think.

Talking of different colours... DH is technically pale blue with him being scottish and many years ago when he was down visiting a friend in London who was black (jamaican) he was woken up in the moring by his VERY jamaican mother shouting up the stairs - "Winston! Get doon here! and bring dat skinny whiiiite boi withcha" - he's been "dat skinny whiiiite boi" ever since :rotfl:
