Honestly I'd wait - because it's such a long time yet that your shape could change or you might see another dress you love even more :)

Krystal, your friends hubby might be extremely grateful for a bit of cash in hand work. When we had our hall decorated we swapped OH's time for his friends who's a decorater. They were both happy and niether had to pay anything.
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p
  • As long as you can still eat and pay the electric (or whatever) Shell I would go for it...

They should be able to take it in for you (a lot of dresses start out as a size 14 I believe) but it will cost you to have it altered.

What does OH think? He doesn't need to see the dress, just be okay with you buying it now IYSWIM.

If you bought it and between now and then decided you didn't like it or it couldn't be altered then you could always re-Ebay it right :D

    I would buy it!
But I am terrible for a bargain!!

Shell, have you tried that actual dress on? I'm glad I didn't buy my wedding dress online and found it in a real life shop... It was a quarter of the price (£800 down to £200) and fitted like a dream, no need for any alterations... The trouble with buying an untried dress is you might end up paying more to a seamstress to make it fit...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Ooooh I don't know lol! :rotfl:

I know its ages away, but it's a bargain, and I know in the meantime I could see something else.

No, haven't tried the dress on, I know what you mean about trying them on though, I really should, especially as I have big bazookas!

I think I should step away from the PC and sleep on it ~ yep, that's what I'll do, thanks ladies! xx

Shell - Buy it now!!!! If you want to lose weight it will give you more incentive - don't know if you do want to or not. If you keep it smoke free you could put it back on if you change your mind.

MFD - noticed those random people making comments. Hugs Auz

    rmac and 3onitsway - congrats :j

Hello and welcome to any newbies :hello:

I'm in the doghouse today as I got up early and then slept from 10.30 til 2.30 - apparently I'm lazy! !!!!!! - I am pg you know!!! Anyway, I am now trying to be nice to save an argument starting so have cooked his tea (which apprently is my job  ) and we are now settling down to watch a film.

Have signed up for Boots - how do you get changing bag? It says you have to buy nappies but do they send you a voucher?

As for names, we like Zac and Jake for a boy (yes, after Zac Efron!!) Nicole and Ruby for a girl. Only prob is Zac and Ruby will prob get quite popular.

OH likes Kelsey (again from HSM!) and I like Eva.

Me and my sisters all have Welsh middle names - I got Elin much better than Angharad :rotfl:

Signing off now to be sociable

    Hugs if you need them

I'd buy it. You can always put it back on ebay if you like, and wedding dresses tend to be sized small so it might not need alterations when you're done losing weight.

I got my dress for 90 pounds including delivery, when a similar dress was 980 in the shop. And it was custom sized, which involved me making an educated guess at how big my belly would be by the time the wedding came around and sizing the waist and hips to fit. It still needed taking up but it's all just perfect.

Right I've tried to remember who to answer but I can't concentrate so I hope u don't need an answer from me :o

Shell I wouldn't buy a dress without having tried it on, I saw lots of dresses I thought where gorgeous but i hated when I put them on, could you find the style in a shop and try it on before the auction ends? (if so try it and buy it:D)
My dress (cost £30 ) and only needed taking up a teeny bit which cost me £15, the woman who did it works for a wedding dress shop nearby but also does general alterations etc from home, she said a dress that needed altering all over would cost around £50 - 150 depending on how "fancy" it was IYKWIM
