You can pay to go private :) We don't get Nuchal fold scans here either but at least we do get the 20 week scan - if we hadn't I'd have paid for it privately :)

    I'm around..

Have been searching for a carrot cake recipe and now sent OH off to get the ingredients. I was leaning towards just buying the cakes (I'm scared they'll sink in our dodgy oven!) but OH has volunteered to make it.. Dunno why he's suddenly so keen to please my mum!

I wasn't feeling very big today but then I got dressed and put on a top I haven't worn for ages and it's tight on my tummy so I'm alright now!

There is a thread here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=42186&highlight=hospital+bag

The list in the leaflet from the hospital says : Light outdoor clothes, Slippers, Nightwear, Toiletries (for yourself) Maternity pads, Support/feeding bra, Breast pads, Pants, Baby brush and comb, Change for phone, Isotonic drinks. For Going Home - going home clothes for both of you, Nappy.

I would add tens machine (if applicable) batteries (for tens/camera) camera and arnica tables.

    Congrats to r.mac and 3onitsway!!

lol - My typing is too slow!!

Iwas also given a list at parent craft I think it was a bit old coz it said about change for the phone and our hosp has allowed mobs for a few yrs now and they have patientline things that don't do change u need like a fiver for them!

it also said that Hubby should have some drinks and snacks or change for vender and a book or games to keep him ocupied :rotfl:
