I requested a catalogue from Freemans some months back. No credit check was done neither did i hear from them.

I applied for freemans and got declined.o/h was accepted.strangley grattan approved me on low limit.it stayed low for ages.i delibratley ordered something slightly over my limit,i made them soft search and away we went with normal increases.
In my experience with alot of the catalougues.have a zero balance or a high balance ,but always spend even £10 a month. It must make the system process your account more,or something.
Grattans are finishing changes to accounts which are easier to use.

Just ordered something from Freemans which I will return. Wonder if that will bump my limit up?

Still haven't heard anything from BarclayCard. Going to get on the blower to them today.

Also, going to ring Equifax, as I have 13 searches on the credit report, and 6/7 of them are duplicates from the same company, e.g. o2 did 3 searches, t-mobile did 2, flybe did 2 etc.

I'm going to about O2. I have duplicate searches from O2.

Don't like applying for them as they double search

I never ordered anything, perhaps that's why they never did a credit search.

How long have you had your account?

You should use it for a small amount and see what increases you get.you can request they change to flex account, same as littlewoods, pay what you want above minimum, avoid interest if you want.
Although you dont want loads of accounts etc it can come in handy with the cats when you need your profile to show a good available credit.
Littlewoods group the best,it can be annoying when you have 5 accounts as you can see some larger items £100 difference in price
