    Afternoon team!
  • Hi there,

If it says to you only a soft search will be carried out, all they are doing is making sure you haven't gone bankrupt or have multiple missed payments. The amount of searches wouldn't really matter.

If it is worded the way you say it is, and you require the loan, then apply for it. The worse that can happen is that you will have a soft search on file but this has no impact on your credit rating.

Apply and advise us of the outcome

Thanks.makes perfect sense what your saying.I was tempted to borrow 4500.That would clear every debt i have.I have been silly this month and added too many searches for mainstream cards.I could and should have appealed them.
My only concern is the "cant have been declined in the last month"
Perhaps ill try calling.it does say rates offered are different on the phone.doesnt mention better or worse.
    THANKS

I have DD's on mine. I have set them up for minimum.

They slightly reduce the apr if you pay atleast the minimum by dd.I run 5 of that group for myself and 5 for o/h.Kays has always given best increases and limits.Although when the balance would sit at zero,no increases for ages.Bought something £20,instant increase.
We both had 2 each for a while. Then one day i did 3 each in the same hour.Mine came back with 800,800,850.O/H 1000 ,1000,1050.
Grattans and freemans, not mentioned much on here are also good with limits also.

I tried to order something from them initially but received a phone call a few days later saying it was above my credit limit of £100. As a result I didn't order anything. I have never received a catalogue from them but they did search Experian. The account is still active on my CRs and am getting green 0

I never ordered anything, perhaps that's why they never did a credit search.

How long have you had your account?

Did you just request the catalogue or buy something first?

I tried to buy something first but, as I say, it was above the limit they gave me (I didn't know what the limit was til I was telephoned)
