There lies your problem, I'm finding extremely difficult to get anything as well, I have 2 defaults, but I've just paid them also 25 searches. I'm waiting for them to be marked Settled and waiting for a few searches to drop off then I'm going to try for a credit card. September I think!

Its just so wrong how defaults seriously wreck your file for 6 years! They are as bad as a CCJ, surely there should be some new legislation in place that defaults drop off quicker than CCJ's!!

I'm currently trying to find out if I can get the defaults removed but it looks like a lengthy battle!

Take a look here to get your defaults removed this may help, I'm going to try it.
