    Morning all

Wet and dank here again today but not to chilly.

Off out bowling and for lunch with friends today - the kids will run around like loons but at least it will wear them out a bit.

Just had another lot of clubcard vouchers delivered....we've had £71's worth this time, £284 in deals!!!!!! I've been really good at shopping using the extra points vouchers and the online extra points from on here....DH uses his credit card for all work stuff which gets paid off at the end of each month - 2 hotel stays in January have really helped!

    Brekkie - toast
Lunch - Pizza hut or Weatherspoons
Dinner - Doubt we'll need it

I'm off to look at the tesco deals to see what we can do!

    Have a good one all.

  • Morning everyone

Funkyfairy - hope your sister's baby is ok ((hugs))

Booked holiday to Lancashire yesterday for next week (our half term) and last night DS was ill - he has a raging temperature and complaining of neck and head pain!! So no school for him today so have sent the other two off to school on their own. My gum is still hurting from last week so have booked an emergency appointment for tomorrow as cant go today because of DS. Will be doing loads of washing and ironing today to get ready for the holiday - just hope DS gets better before then!!!

Hope everyone else's day is better!!!! lol

  • Hi everyone,

FunkyFairy - hope that your nephew is ok - ds1 was in special care for 4 days (he's fine now) so I can sympathise - they look so small in the incubators even when they're big babies

DH took the kids to school this morning which gave me an extra 45 mins - lovely. I'm about to look at ds2's room - whether I'll do anything is another matter lol. Am also going into town in search of a shopping trolley. Have decided to walk in from the closest I can park without paying - thus saving money and getting my daily exercise.

Dinner will be meatballs in tomato sauce and spaghetti - spaghetti reduced because of split packet and meatballs frozen en masse from reduced mince. I love all this OS - it makes me feel so good and the bank account looks healthier than it normally does at this time of the month. DH's expenses can take ages to come through after he's been away which never helps.

Must do some baking today - the tins are looking very sad - someone mentioned a jam doughnut muffin recipe - sounds good. Plus I might make some mince pies as I have a pile of mincemeat leftover from some catering I did before Xmas. I know it's Feb but if they taste good - who cares!

Hope the baby is OK Funky Fairy, thoughts and best wishes to you and your family.

Kids off for half term from today and they are driving me up the walls already!
Oh was on night shift last night and I'm having problems keeping them quiet while he sleeps.
Not a very OS day planned today, have to buy 2x bday presents and cards and am getting my hair cut and coloured later :j
Washing machine on, dont think last nights load can be hung outside today as its dull and damp out there. just about to get kids and I our brekkie then baths for them. Think we will head out as soon as we are ready to let OH sleep a bit. Did some more ironing last night so have to put that away first as was too tired last night. have decided to take 10-15 pieces from the never ending basket and night to try and get through. TV was good last night (desperate Housewives) so I got through a good bit more.

  • Good morning all,
Fingers crossed for the baby, FF, my oldest spent 6 weeks on SCBU, he's now nearly 30!
What a morning I've had already, I took hubby to work this morning, then went to B & Q to get hubby a new hammer, whilst I'm there, I get a text message, obviously a wrong number, about some lost keys, then my phone rang & it was hubby, was I still in B & Q cos the kettle at work had gone bang! Bought a kettle for £5.98. Phone rings again, am I going to be long with the kettle? Everyone is thirsty! Set of towards hubby's work, by this time the traffic is jam packed so I taking all the back roads. Phone rings again. I pull over, answer the phone, some guy asking for John, I tell him he's got the wrong number, he doesn't belive me, he thinks John's asleep or refusing to talk to him. I hang up on the call & pull away, phone rings again, it's him so I don't answer, he rings again & again. Finally get to hubby with kettle, he's delighted to see me. Phone rings again, I explain to hubby why I'm not answering it. Hubby answers phone, caller thinks he's John, heated argument ensues. Hubby finally gets rid of caller by telling him. 'If you phone my wife again I'll track you down & rip **** ******* head ***** and*** ***** ****** throat!
The moral of this story is never upset a workman who hasn't had enough tea!!
I know he over reacted, but we have had 18 months telephone harrassment from my Ex husband, which has left us both a little stressed.
Hugs & blessing on you all.

FF: Congrats on becoming an aunty I sure that the little one will be out of special care soon.

Welcome to all the newbies that I've not said hello to yet.

Well my day went completely pearshaped yesterday, as after toddler group I ended up spending the afternoon looking at cars with sis, fortunately she found one and I did the negotionations I was really proud of myself. So I'm going to try and cram in abit of yesterday and with all I need to do today. Starting with going to Aldi in a minute. Then its back home hopefully DD will have a sleep while I do some baking and make the Shepherds pies that we should have had yesterday. Then I need to get on top of the housework as nothing got done yesterday and the load of washing I did yesterday morning is still sat in the washer.

    Have a good day everyone

Had a quick rummage through the freezer this morning. Just to see how full it was after my OH received my Tesco Online shop. Its practically crammed to the rafters. So much so, that I'll have to empty it a bit before I can half make my shepherds and cottage pies (before freezing them of course)....as they won't fit in the freezer!

OH announced last night that he will help empty the freezer my making us a pizza tonight...cue me taking out a small bag of toppings. Isn't he helpful  I was going to have some chocolate souffle's (Gu if that makes any sense) that I bought along with the Tesco shop....but usually after OH's pizza we feel like beached whales. So they're sitting in the fridge at the moment and we'll probably have them next Monday night.

Put some washing on this morning that OH will sort out when he gets home.

Had a look through my rewards total yesterday. In particular how many vouchers I've got for our summer trips with the girls. I have enough for Thorpe Park tickets, and come the next statement (may / june time) I'll have enough for cadbury's too.

Quick question: when sending off for tesco deals how long does it usually take for the vouchers to arrive? I'm going to need to set myself a cut off point for trips and don't want vouchers to arrive after our week with the girls.

I can now start work on my choice...warwick castle. I've been wanting to go for ages (haven't been since I was a kid) and this summer I'm going to plan a day for myself (out of the week that we have the girls). If the worst happens I can 'borrow' OH's pigsback points to get some leisure vouchers to pay for warwick castle. This will leave only a couple of days to fill, after taking account of our traditional 'go round the sales day'. Hmmmm...sounds like I need another choice just in case.
