  • Oooh, major result in that Chemist which shall not have its name spoken .. DH is giving up smoking .. he's just passed four weeks now. He'd gone to get another pack of capsules for his inhalator. He always checks out the money off stuff - and there was a pack of nicotine gum for 30p! Normally over £3. :D

So now, when he comes to wean himself off the inhalator, he's got the gum to do it with! Whoop! :D

  • Hello everyone,

Not had too bad a day so far. and as I have tomorrow and Friday off work it is the start of the weekend for me :) - unfortunately I will be studying tomorrow and Friday and then college all day on Saturday. I am going to have a go at the chinese chicken receipe someone kindly posted the other day (apologies I can't remember who sent it now) in the SC.

Went running this morning - I have entered a 5 mile fun run in May in Leeds - so i've got something to aim for now.

Found out that the language classes that work is organising with a local school start in a few weeks time. Only £30 for 10 lessons for holiday level Italian - it is quite good timing as I am going to Italy for the weekend 2 days after my last lesson - so hopefully I will be able to remember enough to order a beer and some food.

Cut my hair when i got home from work - it is a DIY with the clippers - as short as it will go - I have only just got these clippers - the last pair i had died half way through a cut ! as i had 10 minutes before I was due out I had to resort to drastic measures and used my Mach 3 razor to get rid of everything - fortunately the new clippers are holding up well, and much more economical than paying a fiver to the barbers.

    B - cornflakes
L - Salmon salad (3rd day running as a big tin lasts 3 days)
D - Beans on toast (i'm off to ju jitsu in a few minutes - being thrown about for 90 minutes on a full stomach is definately not a good idea)

Hope everyone has a nice evening - must dash now

Congratulations Funky Fairy - your poor sister, the thought of 10lb of baby - makes me eyes water!
Zed - i sympathise with the tonsillitis, Have been off work for past 2 weeks, cant get mine to clear. PLenty of co-codamol and gargle it too.
  • I had a 9lb 1oz baby and that was bad enough.

Her 1st baby was 9lb 6oz so we always know that this one was going to be big.

I can not belive she did not have stiches either.

I am hoping to go and see them over the weekend and have a really long and big cuddle.

I was hoping for a nice but a newphew is cool thats 4 i have now.

Congrats to FF's sister & new baby! Phew, I hope I never have one that size, though as I (at 8lb 9oz) was by far the SMALLEST of my siblings at birth plus I have a boyfriend the size of a largish tank, I don't like my chances!

:grouphug: to johanne, calley and honey28 - hope you all sort things out with OH's!

Got a free lunch today cos the person who sits next to me had such a humungous sandwich he could only finish half of it! So he offered me the other half (yeah it was cut in half BEFORE he started eating it, before you ask!) Also got some good bargains in the Co-op on the way home; smoked mackerel £1.06, 2 packs of tortellini 50p each, medium sized punnet of mushrooms which I needed anyway, 44p. It's chaos down our high street this evening - lots of high-spirited teenage yobs on half term!!!

Was going to do a stir fry as I said earlier, but got home and realised I had 2 portions of Saturday's casserole still in the fridge which needed using up urgently. So I nuked one for my dinner and I'll nuke another for tomorrow's lunch. My veggies will just have to survive until tomorrow evening.

Just tucking into a lovely glass of wine :D

awww congratulations funkyfairy...10lbs ouch!!! munch was 7 lbs 11 and I had stiches and all the trimmings, mind you I did have half the hospital in having a go at getting her out _pale_ well actually 7 people but it felt like I had a large audience lol.

Hugs to all those with annoying OH syndrome this evening. :grouphug:

DH came home 2 hours late this evening mean while a friend (one of the business partners) had arrived before DH not a big problem as munch adores him...however shortly before serving up dinner found out that DH had invited friend round for dinner and had forgotten to tell me :o so they had left over shepherds pie and I had half a sweetcorn, scrapings from pie dish and bowl of ice cream.

Have managed to add another load of dry clothes to my ironing pile a load in WM to hang out tomorrow morning, will probably put another load in before we go to bed.

'Boys' DH and business partners are currently having a heated meeting and I'm sat in the corner typing this...so much fun.....I think I'd rather be in the other room ironing lol. :wall: :naughty: Now getting bombared with account questions....will have to start getting the accounts all up to date.

Have all my seeds ready for planting next month so quite excited about that still haven't managed to get to tesco to get some buckets as car is poorly and trying to avoid using it. Legs are aching from all that walking today

Think thats about it, being in the room with the boys is starting to do my dime bar in...ooww oww one of them is going to leave as he wants to get back home for desperate housewifes lol....right best go they're asking me more questions!!!
