  • I'm sat here having a surf as there is absolutely naff all on the box tonight!!

I've been scouring the recipe threads and I'm going to make some jam doughnut muffins and a mars bar cake on Friday (another day off!!)

Unfortunately I have work tomorrow - so it's not all good!

Clothes are all ironed for tomorrow, I'm about to make pack ups for one and all and I've decided on Pavaritto Pasta for tomorrows tea!!

I'm starting to think about Easter and all the traditions (ie the Easter Bunny, Hot Cross Buns etc) and I'm going to make my own eggs this year and put a little pressie in each one then wrap them up in cellophane - as you don't get much chocolate for your money these days do you?

Anyway ta ta for now :happylove

:grouphug: to johanne, calley and honey28 - hope you all sort things out with OH's!

Thanks. I think we are sorted as it was really silly thing that started it off. A credit card payment that got returned. Paid on the 5th returned today and the due is the 18th. Could not find out out why it was returned ran them up and husband wanted to pay by debit card. "Oh sir that will take 4-5 working days" So we now have to get to the bank and pay in cash. Not the first late charge for husband and hopefully the last as he is setting up a DD for min payment :j But after talking to the Bank he logged off his pc and had still not paid the credit card bill. His excuse I forgot  Found out the reason for the returned charged ummm wrong credit card number :rotfl:

I went mad as last year as our holiday cost an extra £55 due to one bank charge and a car parking ticket. All because he does not think.

So tonight we popped off to Mr T's got a couple of trays for paper work so he has a to do/pending tray and a filing tray and a couple of note books and he has a desk diary so he now has to write everything down so he knows that what he has done and what needs to be done.

    So now we are

Fingers crossed this will work now. As I really don't want my marriage going down the tubes just because he has a brain like a sieve.

    Yours

    Calley

Hello everyone, I've been lurking and reading all your great tips and advice but this is my first OS post, so be gentle with me!! I'm reasonably OS....but some days are better than others, LOL. Today though, I did myself proud and when I left Tesco's my first thought was that I finally had something of note to post on the OS board!!!

I needed to buy some coffee as I've got guests this weekend - I hate the stuff myself so was reluctant to buy too much, and scanned the aisles for the cheapest per 100g, but also with a bit of taste, i.e. decided I wanted to get a brand name rather than Tesco's own in case it's nasty. Saw that a posh fair-trade Kenco small jar one was on special offer and it was cheaper than all the others per 100g, so I thought hoorah - then I realised that 2 of the jars had cracked lids, so I took them off the shelf and asked the first assistant I could find if I could have them reduced as the lids were broken. My plan always was to decant the coffee into another big jar anyway, so the lids didn't matter to me at all! I got an extra 75p off per jar, so ended up buying 200g for less than 100g would normally be if not on special offer.

And then, to top it all off, I bought a few other bits and used about £4 worth of coupons!!! he he he.....

Hope that was suitable OS for my first post on this board?! :)

  • Morning

Back from my sisters and am full of cold...thanks to my niece...LOL. Had a great time and was throughly spoilt. Didnt sleep to well last night. I always find, when not feeling well, that I have some awful vivid dreams.

WM is on-probably about another 2 loads to do today as sister smokes and clothes smell of fags....yuk! Toilet cleaned. OH dropping ironing off to SIL as she didnt come this week (whole other story) and will pick them up tomorrow. House generally clean and tidy from the other day.

Today we're having a lazy day. Supposed to be at the hospital this morning, but being so full of cold-its best not going. So will call and move to next week.

Need to update bank accounts and credit cards. Sort some ebay parcels (made about £80 on ebay last week), make a few calls etc etc.

OH doing some more of his course and DD her homework today.

    Breakie:Toast and Laughing Cow
    Lunch: Jacket Spud/coleslaw/cheese
    Dinner:Sheapards pie/carrots/cabbage

Anyway, hope you are all well. Will catch up later.

    Morning all!

I was naughty last night, I bought This . My reasoning was that I get paid on Friday and hadnt spent all of last months wages. Very naughty, but I figure the stick blender just doesnt have the capability to do all that I want it too, so im selling that and having a proper one!

Boyf made dinner last night and I supervised, it was lovely and he is really pleased with himself and now wants to have people over so he can show off his new found cooking skills! :kisses3: The new boyf is pretty good - he even got his mum to bring us a spare microwave yesterday. He is even going to cook again tonight (looks im going to have competition for the kitchen!) and actually cleaned up before he came to bed!

Work was alright yesterday, a little busy but could have been worse! Anyway, ive no idea what lunch is, or dinner, but breakfast is hm muffins. I need to plan the budget today as March is going to be a little lean as ive worked less weekends this month so need to get organised, at least the freezer is jam packed though! Im not working Saturday and I dont intend to go shopping this weekend, ill just meal plan and do a bit of baking I think, and try and have a relaxing weekend as ive been really tired this week.

    Roll on Friday!

    :grinheart Morning All

Wow yesterday was so busy!! I eventually finished work at 5 o'clock - that's 12 hours again.

Hoping for a slightly less hectic one today, but I've got to go to some networking thing this evening

Dinner tonight will be trout. Friend had them caught for me on Tuesday, they are HUGE. Three of them set me back just £6, and we think there's going to be enough for two dinners for the three of us as they're so big. :heartsmil

Breakfast was homemade barmbrack (tea loaf thing). And lunch has been brought from home as always

    Hope everyone's ok
