    Morning all,

I'm very happy as DH just told me he needed a new pair of trainers as his were split, then we got a phone call about the toddler bed we were selling so he's gone off into town to get his trainers with the £25 we got for the bed :D

And someone is currently surveying the house to see about installing cavity wall insulation - it's going to cost us the grand price of £139!! DH has agreed that it will be worth it at that price :D
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

What am I letting myself in for? I went to my first governors meeting yesterday and it was like someone throwing a bowl of alphabet soup at me, sooooo I arranged to go in and see one of the other governors who actually works in the school this morning. So at 10am this morning, I'm just a governor who wants to ask some questions about abbreviations - I'm now a volunteer reader with Year 6 kids ( ) and possibly governor who deals with bullying issues (need to be discussed with other members of the board I think) :eek: How? I have no idea but I wanted to be as involved with the school as possible so I guess I have my wish :rotfl: There could be even more things for me to do as well!!! Have I bitten off more than I can chew? Will I keep my sanity? Where will this all end? I guess we'll just have to wait and see :D:rotfl:

Not much OS for whats left of today except for washing and dishes. I'll be spending alot of time trying to catch up on my ebay listings.....

Graham.....haggis is really nice with grilled bacon and tomatos, my OH is a Scot and we often have haggis with tatties and neeps, but a haggis does us two days, so the second day I grill bacon and tomatos, dip a piece of bread in the fat and then grill that..... fried bread without too much fat, and then put the haggis in the micro for a minutes and a half, make sure its really hot, bingo lunch or special breakfast........yummy.........

Havent done much but OH & DD have..LOL.

Floors have been swept. Ironing dropped to SIL's. 3 washloads done and dried either outside or on airer. OH has just finished making the Shepards Pie-he's never done one unsupervised before...so fingers crossed-hopefully, I will live to tell the tale later:kisses: Packed a few things that have sold on ebay-did really well last week, seems to be picking up again. Have so many clothes that no longer fit me, need to have a good clear out.

DD just sorting out her vivarium-she basically has everything now, except the dragon. OH just setting something up for her and shes going on her zoo tycoon game on the computer, then OH & I are watching prison break.

One of me mates had her baby yesterday, a little boy named Micah (very biblical) 9lb13oz..........ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have already got pressies...all money saving of course. Have put aside a weaning set by Avent with freezer containers etc, normally £20 on the shops and a freebie off this site. Got her other boy a reduced hand held game-99p and her DD a make up set reduced to £2 in Boots from £10, a home made card that DD & I did and a few little smellies for me mate to pamper herself a little. Total about £5.50

When I saw me mam yesterday she had treated me to 2 large Dove bubblebaths. I love these but are so expensive and normally buy when on BOGOF. I ran out 2 weeks ago, so have been using up whats in me cupboard. DD also came away with quite abit of cash and I came away with clothing my sister had bought and never worn (all designer of course LOL)and she said if I dont want them to ebay them and keep the money.....twist me arm then sis. Also some other dear bits. They are all going back to USA in a couple of weeks and mum has seen a fabulous Louis Vuitton purse that she can get for £40 cheaper than here and has asked if I would like one......ermmmm.....maybe!!! I'll also get her to pick me up the Estee Lauder powder I use too as its much cheaper over there. They have offered to treat us and take us over there, but am really not well enough ATM and I couldnt get insurance of I tried. Should have asked for a cash alternative LOL.

    Anyways, Im rambling....see ya.

    Afternoon everybody :hello:

Been out today to do the Lidl and Aldi run, so I have fruit and veg all over the place (as well as 2 Disney bedding sets for the boys, which DS2 is currently demanding I put on the beds NOW!) I've just had a late lunch of HM soup and sarnies (HM bread and home cooked ham). The house still looks like a bombs hit it cos didn't make the beds or anything before we went out (:o) and DW still needs unpacking so I can repack it.

However, SC is on with pork and tomatoes (will have it with mash and veg) I need to put BM on this afternoon as well as WM. The weather has been lovely today but I think the clouds are starting to gather. I had all my windows open this morning - you know spring is coming when you can get that lovely fresh smell into your house :D

I think I've recruited another OSer :D Got chatting to a lady in Lidl (and again when we mat in Aldi later on) - we talked about the merits of home cooking, I told her of the vinegar in the wash trick, told her where an asian cash and carry was and then finished off by telling her about here. I'm sure she'll be along in the next few days :D She'll be able to tell you I'm completely normal...... (yes, I paid her :D)

I'll have to go and sort these duvet covers out. DS2 can be very demanding about such important issues :rotfl: Well, he's never had his own, NEW bedding before and DS1 had a really good school report last night so it's his surprise.

FF - hope baby is OK, sending lots of hugs and kisses to the little fella:kisses3:
Also, hello to the newbies - haven't had time to read yesterdays posts fully, so will "meet" you soon as I have time :)

    Catch ya all later

Yes in this consumerism gone mad world that we live in I am actually taking great comfort from knowing that only a few streets away lives someone who is also OS - it has given me some extra motivation!
Me debt free thanks to MSE :T
