Washing is outside on the line - dishwasher is whirring and slowcooker is full of quorn shepherd's pie.
DD has managed to eat a large BLT (homemade) but may not be able to eat anything else all day.
Got seven sea tonic while I was out getting my prescription so hope that that will help her.
Jo - Do you think your boyfriend "forgets" or just is not bothered.
If you write a list then that would give you a good idea of which it is.
Have you read a book called"He is not just that into you" - one of the things they say is that someone who really cares about you will put you fisrt and want to support you - or at least be a partner.
Sorry to seem mean - big hug."This site is addictive!"

Hello
Well 2nd washload is now on line...excellent drying day today:j DD's bedspread is dry, stains have come out and smells lovely and fresh. OH has put 3 shelves up in bathroom cupboard and we have sorted out all our toiletries....I have enough-well at least for the next 18 months...honestly. I had a few Estee Lauder and Clinique products that have never been opened, so will put on ebay and make a few quid there. So bathroom cupboard is all orderly now:o DW has been emptied and kitchen tidied by OH.
BRZL-You look great! Your NOT fat and look perfect just the way you are! Dont know about the rest of them though...LOL...nah...they all look lovely.
JW-Hope you get you OH sorted. You are such a nice young lady who knows where their going etc. I couldnt stand it if I worked FT and my OH was at home doing nothing all day. There is always work out there, even if scrubbing loos and cleaning etc, I think any contribution would be welcoming for you ATM. OH & I went through a period about 4 years ago when I was working FT (most weeks were to and fro abroad) and he was PT (35hrs pw) and he used to put dinner on (or order a take-away) and empty DW or load, the same with WM if needed IYKWIM-it was hard work, but was fine. Its all about give and take, but not all giving or taking. It has to be a joint effort and you dont seem to get much you time and you work so hard. I think feeling apreciated is very important. No offense meant in the above, but sounds like its really getting you down and your luvely!! And Worth It!!!! Chin up!!(((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))
See ya later.

Morning.
I've had a very quiet morning. I spent a good hour of it hiding as the window cleaners were on the street, and i didn't have any cash in the house to pay them, and was too embarassed to admit this fact to the them. So i had the living room curtains closed, and then the kittens let me down. As they heard the bang of ladder against wall, they jumped through the middle of the curtains to have their great game that they enjoy, chasing the swidgee.
I can see daylight now. I'm going to have to go to the bank as i've just received a cheque that ive been expecting since before xmas, and i should get £10 out to go and get a couple of bits, and be able to pay them. AAAAh. I also need to clean off the coffee table as it is covered in rubbish again.
I'm car less again today. I went to my mums yesterday, and my BIL noticed i had a dodgy tire from the near miss two weeks ago. ~I thought DH had got BIL to check it out on the day it happened, but apparently not, so BIL is taking it with him to work today so he can put it on the ramps and check it out and make sure there is no damage. I know males have pride, but surely DH could have told me it hadn't been checked out, as for all i know i could have been driving a death trap for the past two weeks, not to mention the fact i could have broken down anywhere on my own. I could strangle him at points.
I've had a healthy porridge for brunch, with some honey.
tea tonight - i've got out a big pack of mince so it will do lasagna tonight, spag bol tomorrow and chilli for saturday.
I will need to write a bit of a shopping list for the weekend. I need to go to ASDA and complain. I opened some cat food from them last night, and the gelatin was all funny and hadn't set. I certainly didn't want to feed it to the kitties !!!!!! it stunk as well. So i'm going to complain and i hope they honour their 200% back if not satisfied promise.
Have a good day everyone. Hopefully the sun will make us all feel a bit brighter.

It is indeed a lovely day here in Worcestershire
I've just managed to cancel the impulse order I placed with Amazon last night.Wouldn't let me do it this morning so I'd resigned myself to returning the books and paying for the postage, but all clear nowMust stop buying cookery books.I'm a bit like those women who buy hundreds of pairs of shoes except I buy cookbooks instead.
Have 3 loaves of oat bread rising.
Supper will be veg curry(didn't know what it was going to be until I started typing the word supper - must be OS vibes!)Have butternut squash, parsnips and mushrooms,I'll throw in some peas for colour.Got loads of basmati rice 10 kilos of Tilda for £13.99.Not the cheapest rice I know but the cheapest really good riceThe next biggest bags are £4.99 for 2 kilos,so a pretty good buy.

Bargain_Rzl wrote:Um, TM, why didn't you think about mozzarella before you went to Lidl where it's half the price of everybody else's?
I have 2 packs in the fridge - it's just I haven't looked at them in a whileSo, they'll either be OK to eat or they will be making a run for it of their own accord when I open the cheese box lid
I don't think they'll be all green and furry yet. If they are, I could always adopt them as pets - cheaper than a hamster :rotfl:
Talking of pets - when I we walked home from Beaver's last night, there was a scurrying under my car - we saw a cat scamper out and I thought it was playing with an old trainer of DS1's that had been left outside following a 'standing in something yukky' episode. It wasn't until the trainer spiked the cat on the nose that we saw a little hedgehog by the front door - really sweet. It's the first one I've seen since we've been here and DS's were transfixed.0 -
Hello everyone,
Bit of a mixed day here, DS and DD at school, 2 little ones (now in bed) and my friend and her daughter came round for a cuppa and a chat this morning, so very nice. However, it is absolutly freezing, and my boiler, for some reason is not working!!! tried changing the fuse (the boiler isnt turning on, so thinking its the electricity rather than the gas) but that hasnt helped, so now have to decide who i need to call out!!! Think i might phone the boiler company to see what they recomend!!!
Havnt done anything else today, so far, and im still trying to decide what to cook for tonights dinner, might see what DS and DD want when they come in.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care xxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hi all
Had some good news here, my step son is moving back with his mum, woo hoo. He owes me £40 plus £60 housekeeping plus approx £400 phone bill. But as there is no chance of getting the money, I'm just glad to see him go before he costs me any more. I hope he is more grown up when he returns next time, though as he is 20 now, I don't expect much improvement!

fairly quiet here today so managing a browse on here.
Sorry to hear about your BF Jo, my OH is in a foul mood at the moment, don't know why but I'm not impressed at all, had just stripped the bed last night (while on the phone to my mum) when he comes in and says he's going to bed - not before I've remade the bed you can't.
Anyway lots of little jobs to do tonight and I'm off out too for a rehearsal argh!
Pasta, sauce and garlic bread tonight I think.

I've just had a lovely lunch of brown rice, mixed fruit and curry sauce. Sounds horrible but it was delish. I think tomorrow I'll just have a plain old cup-of-soup from Asda with some bread :rotfl:
Our local free newspaper came through this morning and there is some good leaflets in it this time4 coupons for Asda on-line (they've only been delivering here since about Christmas), 4 vouchers for Burger King, 2 vouchers for a Greek Taverna, a flyer for TJ Hughes Warehouse Clear out
, Bargin booze flyer for our local shop and a flyer for WHSmith (buy one get one half price on the UK's 250 bestsellers) as well as all the usual adverts in the paper about sales
Will have to go and have a good look for a bed for DD
