Morning all :hello:
Had a lovely night's sleep - went to bed soon after midnight (which I normally do, but my body's never normally in the mood for sleep at that time) and fell asleep straight away, sleeping right through to 07:30 which almost made me late for work
Think it was something to do with having that lovely glass of red wine not long before bed - the one which MATH almost made me spray all over my laptop
Sorry to hear you didn't sleep well P-P, and I hope your blood clot gets sorted out soon :grouphug:
Got a bargain on some fresh Spinach and Ricotta Tortellini yesterday evening at the Co-op (reduced when already on special offer so picked up 2 packets for £1 and a third packet for another £1). Wish there had been a fourth packet in the reduced section cos it would have cost no more than I was already paying! Anyway, cooked up two of the packets, stirred through Asda Pesto and ended up with today's and tomorrow's lunches as well as yesterday's dinner :money:
Jo - This may be a bit harsh and I know I'm not the first OS-er to say it, but honestly, your OH sounds like he's really taking the mick. Wouldn't a bit of "tough love" be in order? i.e. kick him out and say you'll, ahem, keep his position open for a while but he can only come back once he's sorted himself out? You might find you end up regaining him as a usefully employed contributor to the household - and if he doesn't care about you enough to get a job and come back, well, frankly, what have you lost that's of any value?
Anyway I'll write again later and I hope you all have a lovely OS day.

Morning all!
PP - hope your blood clot gets sorted out soon.
Jo - I've learnt if I want something doing by OH in this house I have to write it down for him. He's got a terrible memory and whenever I ask him to do something he forgets. I told him I don't like asking him over and over as I feel like I'm nagging and he said "Nag away! It won't feel like you're nagging to me, just reminding me". Maybe leaving a long comprehensive list for your OH to do (and include really horrible jobs you hate doing) will give him the kick up the backside he seems to need. *hugs*
So far this morning I've "argued the toss" I don't know how many time with DD over getting ready for school - if she's like this now I dread to think what she's going to be like when she's a teenager! I've done 1 batch of dishes (mainly cups - when there's only 3 of us in the house how can we go through so many cups and glasses when I reuse mine over and over and I'm the only one in during the day!), put the WM on (bedding and yesterdays underwear) and thats nearly finished so that needs putting out on the line, put DD's clean laundry away (we were running late, her fault for messing around, so she didn't have time this morning), made the beds and tidied up throughout.
Breakfast was hot apple & blackcurrent cordial with two slices of brown toast
Lunch : probably brown rice with the end of the curry sauce I made yesterday. Not very OS as its a packet sauce BUT I'm the only one in the house who like curry and I only have it once in a while anyway so I can justify spending the 40p or so on a packet instead of 80p in the chippy!
Tea : Colcannon in theory, but might put some spinach in with it
Just got a letter from Baco about the complaint I made yesterday and they've included £5 worth of vouchers :j The product itself only cost me 96p :j:j:j I see me stocking up when I go shopping this weekend
Right, I better go and put this bedding out to dry and the stuff from yesterday needs to go upstairs into the airing cupboard to finish off. Then I'll start on the ebay listing of DD's outgrown clothing since I took 48 pictures of the clothing last night! I do photos of the individual items and then make a webpage up (using Dreamweaver), put it on my webspace and just link through from my ebay listing which saves me a fortune in listing fees :money:
Will probably be back later around lunch timeCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

BRZL - loved your piccie - you look great - LOL @ MATH 's post
Weather is absolutely lovely here - wish I was at home as I could get a lot done todayZed42 wrote:Methinks it is time to let you in to a little secret ..... without house training he is not going to do anything! Jo - my OH is the same as Zed - ask him to do something - in one ear out the other - leave him a list and it is all done

Hi
Well physios been and is very happy with DD and says that she will proberbly discharged in 3 months when she sees us next :j . Just need to keep going with what we are doing. DD is having her nap now so I've just nipped on here and then I'm going to get on with some housework. Smokey I'm v jealous that you can start watching the lovely Keifer before me.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hiya
Just got back from my early morning town-mission: Lidl's to buy a wally-trolley (see other thread) then a mystery shopping job. Popped into Morrison's (not my usual hangout) and got 2 reduced price organic chickens along with my bits (stuck to shopping list for rest, but couldn't pass up the chicks, use-up month or not)
Lovely day here - for a change. I think I've a load in WM ready to hang out - will check in a minute. Not too much cleaning needs doing today, but downstairs loo MUST be done. Did a major clear up and file from around the desk last night, soI can see it now
Don't know what to make for tea tonight. I'm toying wth the idea of HM pizzas - will check on the mozzarella cheese situation shortly. May even do baking later as DS2 seems to be asking for cakes!
Ok - a short post (for me) DS2 is demanding I play Cranium Hullabaloo with him RIGHT NOW!!
Hugs to all in need

Frustrating trip to LIdl this morning in search of shopping trolley, as mentioned on other thread. Then to Tesco's. Luckily I did the shopping early as on the way home I got a call to come & collect ds1 from school as he was ill. There are now 15 off in his class of 30.
Still it means a peacefiul afternoon as I only have to collect ds2 at 1.30 and no swimming lessons as ds1 is ill.
DH land at 9pm but is getting a taxi home from the airport so it'll be tuna & sweetcorn lasagne in relays tonight.
Off to wash the kitchen floor - why did no-one point out when I chose it that cream tiles are totally impractical with a dog & 2 kids - I yearn for dark grey now.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Um, TM, why didn't you think about mozzarella before you went to Lidl where it's half the price of everybody else's?

Day off today :j
just got back from town and am having 5 mins before I make a start !
Lovely day here in Worcestershire :j washing blowing nicely on the line!
Plan to do a few jobs then later am going to care for the 95 year old I look after once a week, just a little cleaning and change his bed but apart from that he's amazing for his age.We do the telegraph crossword together!(just the easy one mind
later its the first night of the Panto  hope it goes better than in rehearsal! proceeds to 2 local cottage hospitals and the air ambulance.
Have a lovely day all! :wave:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi all :hello:
Got some time out of the classroom, but I'm in the middle of something but thought I'd better pop on here whilst I've got the time!
WM went on as I left the house this morning. As we're going away on Saturday morning, I'm up to speed with all the washing, just need to tackle the drying and the ironing. I know that the cottage we're going to has a WM but I don't fancy doing washing whilst we're there!!!
The school has got it's Valentine's Disco on tonight. This means that loads of my hormonal Year 6s will be getting over excited at 3pm, only to return at 7pm looking like Year 13s! What joy will I have this afternoon? The worst behaved ones aren't allowed to come, which means that it should be a pleasant event!
To keep you updated:
breakfast - branflakes and a cuppa.
break - dried apricots and sunflower seeds
lunch - wholemeal pitta (yellow sticker) with humous.
supper - chicken tikka masala (sauce out of a jar, I'm afraid!).

Hi Yall, Bright, sunny but bitterly cold day in the emids. Did a 40 min power walk after dropping the MATHLETTS off at school. I've been told (unofficially) that I will not be required to prostrate myself before the head teachers and display destitution and dire need;) One of the teachers there is a friend of mine and has 'popped' into his office and explained the money situation at chez MATH. Yay!
Not done too much yet, have managed to complete paid2clicks, another £20 cheque arrived this morning (yay) so that's miss MATH's school shoes taken care of.:j I'm off to bank it later.
The wet washing thought it looked a bit nippy outside today and asked if it could snuggle up to a radiator in the dining rooms, the two cats opted to follow suit as well:D . Second load of DW just finished.
Thursdays is full clean downstairs day but tbh it doesn't look to bad so I think I'll leave it and give it a quick cat-lick tomorrow when I do upstairs.
I've noticed as my car is now taken out so little it is begining to become covered in litchen:eek: like mother nature is claiming it back. LOL I really should go and clean it but it's sooo cold! TBH I'd get rid of my car if it wasn't for going to the coast and being transportless when I'm there and Mrs MATH is here. I really do need a car there cos anything and everything is a 20 min drive away.
The weekend is shaping up nicely.
Saturday we are off to visit friends who live in Lincoln (they have a summer home nears ours so we do not normally see them during the winter) We'll have lunch there and then walk into Lincoln centre and do a few touristy bits 'n' bobs (must remember to get Miss MATH's shoes - like she won't remind me;))
Sunday my mum and dad have invited us up for lunch (a very rare event) so no cooking for two days and a nice easy weekend(yay).
Right I'd better get cracking. I'm itching to cash this cheque and may force myself to clean the car.
B Cereal
L Soup and roll
D Brocolli and spaghetti bake
P Peach Crumble and icecream (you've set me off on peach no aussielass)
S cereal or crackers and cheese
Finally before I shut up and log off. What about having an OS pin up of the month (don't expect me to post pic tho but you may tempt Squeeky to pose with a well placed leek:eek: on second thoughts maybe a chill pepper would be better) lol.
I vote for
