Morning folks.
Still not feeling great today but I suppose you just have to get on with it!
Just about to get ready for work. Think I am just going to take some soup for lunch today. Totally off my food and the smell of things is just turning me off even more.
Tonight we are having homemade burgers. 1st attempt at these so hope they work. Used the Lakeland burger maker and so far very impressed. Just hope I feel up to eating them.
Will leave list of jobs for hubby to do. Not too much but he still needs a list!! Just some washing and a quick tidy up.
Have a great day everyone.0 -
Morning everyone!
Late night last night - bought work home, but its all overtime and extra cash so I shouldn't complain.
Have nothing planned today except work and Tescos - I haven't been for days (to tescos!) as my sinuses have been terrible with this cold. I can manage work, but the hated Tesco run is just too much to bear right now!
My mission tonight is to clean the hallway top to toe - I have some cobwebs where I didn't realise cobwebs could get! Then I am going to sit down and draw a diagram and write a list of everything that needs to be done in the hall and price it up (as cheap as possible and DIY of course!) :T
Anyway, have a nice day all.
Big hugs to those that need them!

Morning, all.
PP - take a breather! Sounds like you deserve it.
Jo - don't blame you, there's only so much "supporting" a girl can do.
I've had an unexpected bonus, in that I thought I'd have to trundle off to a Horse Sale today (where I buy cheap knackered saddles, take 'em home, do 'em up and sell them again - hopefully for a profit). I'm still feeling tired, so wasn't keen on that idea - but I discover that its tomorrow! Yay!
So today is an "in" day, other than a trip to the Bank. Clean out the guinea pig (who is currently living on our coffee table because he's an only pig and it got very very cold out there), clean out the parakeets and do the ironing. With a bit of luck, I'll get mugged by the big comfy bed when I go upstairs to do the ironing. That'll do!
B : Porridge with honey
L : Spinach, mushroom & garlic omelette
D : Chicken curry (DH's job!)
Hope everyone has a good day. Hugs to those that need them!:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -

Morning all,
Well DS is finally better enough to go to school but DD broke up yesturday from pre-school and doesn't go back till the 20th Feb.
Need to catch up on stuff not done in the last couple of days as got some people coming this afternoon from a Company down south to look at a new product O/H and his guys want to produce so fingers crossed they will like it as it could be a potential large money earner. I will be playing the perfect hostess and dishing up vast amount of tea & coffee and some fancy sarnies. The only downside is till it gets off the gound O/H will yet again be working even longer hours and its freezing in his workshop at the moment.
Lunch: something very quick
Dinner: no idea, other things on mind at the mo
Have a great day all, off for a bath now.

Morning,
Breadmaker has been sent to produce a lovely loaf at around 6pm tonight just ready for our tea when I get home (which will be soup a al Tesco). OH announced proudly to me last night that we'd won a free 'sofa cleaning session'. (Cue a large groan from me). Yes its one of those...I'll clean your sofa if you sit there for ages listening to me try to sell you services.
Have given OH strict instructions....as we have a leather sofa and according to him they were talking about 'shampoo'. Fortunately OH use to work in a warehouse for a company that sold sofa cleaning & care products....so he should know what to look out for.
In saying all that our sofa does need a good clean and it would save us from doing it ourselves. Keep everything crossed. I'm going to delay my return home through a quick trip to boots tonight.
I wonder what stories OH will have for me when I get back?Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -
Hi to everybody,
Just popping in here before popping out tonight with DD. Very warm day here. We had some rain yesterday which was great. It would have topped the tanks up. Did loads of washing today. Sheets, bedspreads etc as more rain is coming. :jThey all got dry by lunch.:D Good stiff breeze. Read & weep.
I made Peach Cobbler in the SC tonight for dessert. It was yummy, had it with icecream as I was too lazy to make some custard. I have a sore lower back today. I think it's the way I've been sitting on my puter chair with my legs & feet draped over the desk.I'm sitting up straight as a rod now.
Byeeeeeeee, hugs to all those who need them. Have a nice day. Yesterday's post was sooooo funny. Laughed till I cried.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all,
Well my dd is full of cold but slept solidly from 19:00 to 07:45! A miracle .... !
So, I should be full of beans? Except for the fact that as it is just dd and I in the house the heating was restricted to certain rooms .... and the cat came looking for warmth ALL THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT.... traipsing mud all over me, the bed, and making me sneeze (allergic to his dander, sigh), ah well!
And the bedroom door doesn't push to at the moment .. something to do with hinges apparently (as it is 300yrs old, I shall leave it to DH to sort out, I'm not being responsible for that!)
Yesterday morning as I was going out I discovered a small piece of glass on the ground, I did do a cursory look at our windows, but discovered nothing ... this morning I went in to my office (yes, today is a work day) ... to discover that some charming brat has lobbed a stone through the window. Not quite sure how to tackle this one .... I shall however, clear the glass up and ponder ... so I have ventilation today, brrrr .....
jw1096 wrote:I got home from work yesterday and he had done absolutely nothing - ...... I'll be leaving him a note this morning to do some cleaning and get a bloody job.
Methinks it is time to let you in to a little secret ..... without house training he is not going to do anything! I find (and DH agrees wholeheartedly with me) that if I ask him to do one thing whilst I am out, he will invariably not do it, mainly due to forgetting (what is important to me, is not necessarily important to him), if I leave him a list .... even if it is not all done, I tend to find the majority of it done, and I have to say I have a DH who does pull his weight substantially around the house (ssssh, don't tell him, LOL)
B - Porridge with honey and double cream.
L - HM Oat and raisin bread
D - Not sure, yesterday was going to be lasagne, but ended up being veg & chick pea curry, today was therefore going to be lasagne, but DH does not land until 15:30, so unlikely to home before 19:00. Hmm, I shall have to ponder that one!
O/S - Not a lot, it's a pity I have no washing ... it's beautiful weather out there! Right, time to do some work!!GC - March 2024 -0 -
Morning all
Just a quick post to say hi. Havent managed to read any of the post yet so hugs to anybody who needs them. Physios coming to see DD in 1/2 hour so I've been running around getting the floor hovered and making sure the house is tidy. Shes got an unstable pelvis which means that she didnt sit up till 10 months and didnt move till 12 months when we started physio exercises. Shes certainly making up for it now and can crawl and stand but not toddle yet so I think we will be getting a new set of exercises today. Anyway need to pop to Aldi later for fresh stuff and have got some ironing later. Will pop back to give you an update later
Breakie: Tea and toast
Lunch: Sandwich
Tea: Chicken and veg
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0
