  • Hi everyone,

A very late post for me. It sounds like it's not been that good a day for one or two of you,so hugs and best wishes all around.

I've had a bit of an expensive day but i haven't minded. We went to ASDA and spent £52. This is usually somewhere between 80-110, so i felt quite pleased. Then we went and got a new memory foam mattress (£375). Not the cheapest one around, but one we could bring home today. Our mattress was donated to us by my parents when we first moved in together, and the springs poked me in the back every time i turned over. I'm hoping i will be able to start sleeping better, and feel less tired, and recover from my illness enough to go back to work.

    My hospital appointment arrived.

I spent time at my parents, and helped my mum get organised on ebay. She wants to do an ebay shop to supplement her earnings from her real shop, but is computer illiterate. She was trying to read me a label from a shoe, and was telling me she couldn't read it, but she had the shoe upside down. She's so funny she has me in stitches.

We ended up there till 9, so we decided to go to a local pub for a meal as we were both too tired to cook. So a very non-OS day. I'm going to not have to spend much more, as we are having the fascias replaced on the 13th, and the money will not keep stretching.

Hope you are all having a restful/entertaining/cheap - whatever you need it to be evening, and are feeling fresher for tomorrow.

    Morning everyone!

Well, seems my sleepathon yesterday morning is now biting me on the bum. I came over all tired at about midnight, so went to land of nod...but here I am returned to land of MSE and miraculously awake and refreshed after only about three hours sleep.

It's a bit too early for anything to have happened in my little world. I'm looking forward to reading about everyone else's days later on.

MATH, hope you are OK and being contructive rather than pessimistic about your situation.

PP hope you're snoring your little head off just now...

See you all later, am off back to bed to get on with my book.

    Bye!

    Good morning everybody,

I've had quite a productive weekend to date. Boiled up and mashed the huge pumpkin I was given. I think I'm starting to get sick of pumpkin. Made some HM toilet cleaner. I'll see how it works, got a recipe from the Oz money saving site. Probably crappy :D but will try it out. Made apple crumble & custard yesterday & made some yummy soup from leftover gravy in SC. Having it for tea tonight. I will pretend it's not hot as hell & but shivering cold.

Also yesterday we had another family come though our house, this morning real estate rang up with an offer. Will respond with a counter offer tomorrow. ;) This is all different to how it is over your end. It's been on the market now for 2 weeks. I can't believe how quick it's been. Not really ready for all this, thought it would take at least 6 months. I will know more in the next week if it all pans out.

Hope you have a nice Sunday.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Morning

Slept well last night, but feeling ill with this cold and flu bug. I went up to bed at 7.30 last night, fell asleep for 2hrs then went to the loo, took my sleeping tablet and pain killers and woke up at 5. So all in all not a bad nights sleep but just wish this bug would break.

WM is on. Toilet cleaned. House pretty tidy so will be able to rest up today. Have another ebay parcel to wrap today to be sent tomorrow with others that are going. Ironing pile is getting bigger and bigger:rolleyes:

OH is doing more of his OU course as I type and is panicking that he's behind already....he's not though! He needs to allocate 2hrs a day to it and keep on top of it that way.

Anyways, Im off and will pop back in later.

    Breakie:Bacon Sarnie
    Lunch:Soup
Dinner:Chicken, roasties, yorkies, stuffing, carrots, cabbage, parsnips & gravy

MATH-Hope your feeling better today. ((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))

Morning all, I hope everyone has slept well.

Flying visit for me as the marathon WM session I have done over the last couple of days has caused my damaged wrist to become quite painful again; I think it was pulling the washing out of the machine that did it, towels can be quite heavy and tangled icon9.gif. Just as I thought the darned thing was healing. It is so frustrating as there are so many things I should be doing, but cannot do them one handed.

Ah well. I still have piles of paperwork to do so perhaps I can get on with that, at least I can operate a mouse and a keyboard with one hand icon7.gif.

But first I'm going to enjoy some fresh bread and yoghurt then have a wander round the farmers' market.

    Enjoy your day. icon7.gif

Well. My quiet night was very quiet! Little ones went to bed on time - but then threw me by waking me up at 5.30am!

Glad I went to bed early, otherwise I would be cream crackerd right now! Just finished breakfast - wont give them breakie early if they wake up early! They have to wait until usual time!

Joint will go in the SC about 10.30 as we are having it for dinner rather than lunch. With veg, stuffing, roasties and yorkies!!!! (Aunt bessies yorkies cos I cannot get mine right. The bane of my life is yorkshire puddings and rice. Can't get either to cook properly!)

Have a few ebay parcels to wrap up for posting tomorrow and a few bits ending tonight.

    Have a great day everyone!

Going to have an 'os' day today as a treat. As a single mum working full time in a demanding job, I only manage bits of os - but love it! I made a beef casserole last night for dinner today. Off to do the ironing, then going to make apple crumble for pudding. If it is dry today, I am going to dig the patch of my little garden that I have set aside for veg. Never tried growing veg before so quite excited. It is just weeds just now so I am weeding it out and then will put in some horse manure.
Anyone any advise on 'easy' veg to start with? The plot is ony about 8' x 5'.
