    Goodnight all,

I am just about to hit the sack shortly. Just having a quick surf before I turn off. It's so humid tonight we'll put the air con on. Had it on last night as well. I've been getting some books ready to photocopy I got from the library during the week on crocheting. Will do it at work tomorrow. ;) I got some xmas tea towels on special after Xmas & I hope to make them up into fridge/oven towels. I'm going to make a start on them once I understand how to read the darned pattern. I've earmarked the first one to myself, hopefully by then I will be quite the little expert. I've got three t towels so it'll make six.

BTW has any of you made peach crumble using fresh peaches? Is it nice? I found a recipe for the SC. Might try in during the week. Ta ta.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all

Its was my turn for the lie in today but I still had to wake up to tell OH that DD was awake  . Anyway not much on today just the normal Sunday job, getting everybody ready for the week ahead. Got some parcels to wrap for ebay and also for BIL birthday on Monday. Then its off to MIL for roast dinner.

    Hugs to all

  • Morning.

I had the most fantastic nights sleep on the new mattress. I think i won't regret splashing out on it.

I was woken up by DH about 6:30 ish as he was going to help the BIL build a wall. He always fixes our cars as cheap as possible so DH likes to help out where he can. I'm just having a quiet potter, WM on, cats dealt with, litter trays bleached. Cat bathed, yes bathed. He managed to jump into the sink while the litter tray was being bleached, and his front paws and belly were soaking, so i had to wash him before he ate any bleach. I'm not sure i got it all though as he had a patch of foam (looked a bit like when a kid blows lots of bubbles) on the floor next to him. I think i'd best keep an eye on him for the rest of the day and get him to drink some water. He seems chirpy enough so i think he's ok.

I've got some beef in the fridge defrosting (bought cheaply at xmas) so it is roast beef for lunch, and i'll probably do some baking for packed lunches through the week. I've finally got hold of some potting compost, so i will probably try to plant some garlic today. I've only been meaning to do it for several weeks now.

Glad to hear you sounding back to normal Math - it's not the same when you aren't cracking jokes.

hope you enjoy ikea jo - i daren't go very often as i always spot lots of things that i really really want. Although, like you, the storage jars i got last time are fantastic and have madde my kitchen loads tidier..

Have a good day one and all.

Now how much should I wipe off his debt?

Tell him you'll pay him the going rate. Now, what does a sahm earn?

Erm - child benefit/ 168hrs per week will give you your hourly rate (cos we all know it's a 24/7 job)

Then tell him that - and keep a straight face. Give him a rest about Wednesday :rotfl:
  • hello all,
having a bit of a lazy day myself - did an hour or so of studying in preparation for tomorrow at college.

for lunch and dinner today i have two more random bags of frozen SC food - could be casserole - could be chilli. i think my next batch of SC food will definately get labeled up :)

went out this morning and took some pictures of my house to show my internet friend - it looks good from the outside - luckily she can't see the mess inside :)

i think this afternoon will be spent playing poker on line (only for pennies though)

AussisLass - where abouts in Oz do you live ? my aunt lives in Manley - she has been saying it has been the hottest they can remember this summer (they have been there 30 years) . she was over in the uk in October and wishes she could be cold again :)

hope everyone has a good day

    Cheers

    sorry, am I late?
Sounds like you are all busy packing out your Sundays with industry, you'll wear yourselves out for your job on Monday or is that the idea? :rotfl:
HWTHMBO and I farmed DS#1 & #2 to my mum's last night so we could go out for a meal with some friends. we didn't get in until 1:30am, dirty stop outs.
I've had a lovely lie in and for once managed to catch the Archers Omnibus 'live' whilst snuggled up in bed, although I've missed countryfile. I usually 'listen again' whilst reading all the MSE stuff from the weekend.
HWTHMBO got up at 9, had his breakfast and is now in the garage spannering the 'bikes and DS#1 & #2 are due back at 2pm. So I'll have to get a move on if I'm gonna get brunch.
Luckily I did all the cleaning last time we farmed them out (13-15 Jan) and WM ran last night when we got in - on cheap electricity. I'm nearly packed for THE HOLIDAY so that's all in hand. So it's been a real leisurely Sunday - my first in 6 years! I dunno what to do with myself. 'spose I could always go back to bed...
<<HUGS>> for those who want/need 'em. BTW, I've always thought the group hug smilies thing looks a bit rude! :grouphug: what do you think?
Thank you to everyone who has helped me this and last month - you know who you are.
A very big hang my head and Sorry to all those I've upset or offended this and last month - you know who you are.

For the rest of you I bring you this:

May the sun bring you new energy by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night,
May the rain wash away your worries
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And all the days of your life may you walk
Gently through the world and know its beauty.
just in case you need to know:

First of all, an apology to Math for thinking he was female .. ~blush~ I did do a post about it at the time, but either my puter or the site decided to throw a wobbly and nothing would load, so the moment was lost.

OK Girls, do we 'fess up to how long it took to work out that our darlings MATH and Squeaky were blokes? nah... icon11.gif Paws, You could hear the screams of Squeaky is a bloke!! for miles :rotfl:

Red .. I'm new here, so if I've missed stuff about your wrist and I'm on the wrong track, just ignore me - but I wonder if Lloyds Cream might help? My Mum recommended it to me when I had a soft tissue injury to my knee - and it did help with the pain. Its not exactly cheap - but a little goes a long way and its available from the chemist. I think its aspirin-based, so you would need to watch your painkiller intake, but it might be worth finding out about.

I've not really posted about my wrist much Hun, I badly sprained it and did some ligament damage. Just have to wait for it to heal. I was fed up earlier because I was stupid and impatient and started over-using my wrist again too soon, so set myself back. :o It is my own stupid fault that I am in pain today. It had been healing very nicely and will do so again icon7.gif

That is a great tip about the Lloyds cream, thanks PoshPaws, I have seen that but never tried it. TBH the pain is so draining now I will try anything.

fannyadams, loved the poem... still trying to work out HWTHMBO:think:
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

All the uniforms are ironed, DS's trousers are let down and rehemmed and DD's trousers taken in at the waist (wish they made them for skinny 4 year olds). My back is now killing me and I'm taking a break. Then it's time to sort something out for tea and get DD bathed. Hopefully I can take it easy this evening :D
