Hello all!
Havent had a chance to read through yet so hugs to those who need them.
Am off to mums and tots in a minute with dd2yo and baby.
Have put chicken in the s/c for tomorrow as forgot it was pancake day today, and dd 6yo will want pancakes not chicken. At last dd 6yo is back at school after having the flu, luckily it missed the rest of us.
Have paid some bills this morning and need to pop into town after school to buy a new stick blenda as mine conked out last night while batch cooking babys food, so have had to put in all in the freezer without pureeing.

Hi everyone
Came back from our holiday on saturday and just about caught up with all the washing!!! My SIL had her baby last night - a little girl - so off the hospital this afternoon to see her. Spent some money this morning buying some gifts but it wont interfere with my budget as i have quite a bit in the freezer so i can allow for it!!!
Hope everyone is okay.

Not at work today as I've had bad toothache for a few days - called NHS direct for advice last night - rubbish - called 8.45 said they'd call back within 3 hours, 11.45 (I was in bed dozing by this point) someone calls back and says the nurses are still busy we can call you back within 2 hours - oh yeah cos I want to be woken up at 2am by someone telling me to take paracetamol and giving me a number for a dentist to try in the morning so told her not to bother. As it was was awake at 2am anyway and called the local emergency dentist at the walk in centre first thing and went in at 8.50 - had a wisdom tooth out and was planning on going into work but just don't feel right, and obviously can't eat properly (just had some banana and custard) so feeling drained.
Anyway catching up online and our flat looks great - have some people coming round for pancakes later so that's good - hope I feel better by then.
Think I might try and sort out some paperwork this afternoon as the windowsill is filling up - ING direct account is finally almost open which is good - can transfer amazon and ebay money into it thenInitial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Also managed to find some gloves/mittens for my kids. The have both managed to lose one each. It was a nightare, I could have bought them some sandals though!!!! Eventually got some thermal ones in the sale in Millets!
Also had to buy birthday pressies for my mum & sister.
Am looking forward to pancakes later, drool!
I still have money left from my wages, I am so pleased. Normally by this time & NEED the allowance from my dh!

Hi all
Thanks for all your thoughtful vibes. My mum text me earlier to say that the operation went well and my dad now has a brand new hip! All being well (and weather permitting), I will going to visit him on Saturday. I was really worried as the last time he was in hospital, he was in for 6 weeks with an infection on the hip (hence why he had to have it replaced as it had been eaten away). Anyway, no doubt he'll be milking his status and will be bossing people around even more for a few weeks but he'll soon be able to take the dog for a walk again. Much to my mum's delight and relief!
Anyway, my good news is that I've been paid! It's rather more than I was expecting, but I'm not complaining obviously - all due to tax being worked out. It also means that my overdraft will be paid off quicker than I'd previously thought.......... touch wood!
Work to do, as my children no doubt need some exciting lessons tomorrow and I just need to gather a few resources.
