Morning all, have not read all the posts yet, I am feeling a little better and about to get dressed, it is a sunny but cold morning here in Leicestershire, I am going to go for a short walk, I feel clogged up, need to get some air into my lungs.

Am expecting a delivery from tesco, we ordered wine whilst they have 20% off and I also had a couple of coupons. As we were going to travel to France on a day trip to buy wine we decided not to go but spend the same amount of cash here 24 bottles om their way at lunch time.

I have almost finished the medication, think its that making me feel crook, the Dr said it was strong, but I need to get going a little, just taking little steps, but need to get the house back in some sort of shape, downstairs looks ok, but apart from the bathroom the bedroom and my sewing room are dire!!!!!

Had my brekkie, just a glass of cranberry juice a round of toast and a large coffee, first coffeeI have had since Friday........

Right I am off into the shower and put some warm clothes on......
    see ya'll later.

  • Good morning all!!! Sending hugs to all that need them & positive thoughts to VickyA's dad - hope it goes ok!!

Well, DS1 has gone to school, DS2 is downstairs watching Herbie (again!) I've just had some breakfast and now really need to get on with some chores!! WM to go on (I'd love to have one day where I didn't have to say that!) and DW is almost full. DH cleaned the kitchen (well - his version of cleaning it - not including the sink/cooker!) so need to finish that off!

DS1 is going to dance club after school so don't need to collect him until 4.30!! What will I do with the extra time????

Both DH and I are now starting to limit our time on-line - as we're not spending any time together in the evenings! Probably won't, therefore, be posting as regularly - we'll have to see how it goes (I actually think I'm addicted to MSE - I get withdrawl feelings if I don't check in often!)

Hope everyone has a fab day! It's gorgeous and sunny here - but COLD!!!

    Take care x

    Morning all,

Brilliant sunshine here atm .... wonder how long it will last if taplady has snow in Worcestershire (I'm in Shropshire).

Nappies washed and hung out on line.
    DW unloaded.
Ironing staring me in the face.

B - DH - toast, me - cereal, DD - 3 bowls of cereal and toast (growth spurt!?!)
L - dunno except HM ciabatta loaf.
    D - Pancakes, pancakes, pancakes.

Giving blood at 18:00 so want to make sure I've stodged up first.

I went on a sewing course yesterday, really enjoyed it, even though I was the most inexperienced there!

So, onwards and upwards with DD's curtains methinks!

  • Morning :hello:

Ugh. Not feeling well this morning. Woke up with a splitting headache and my chest muscles seized up so it hurt to inhale. Luckily the chest thing went away quite quickly, but the headache is still here, an hour and a half and two ibuprofen later :( I couldn't face going to work so I rang in sick, and I'm now MSEing in bed with an extra pillow and a shawl around my shoulders to keep me cosy.

Sorry to hear that you've not been well either thriftmonster.

Hope I might feel well enough later to get a bit of tidying and possibly cooking done. It feels like a waste somehow to be home on a weekday and doing nothing :o even though I know I have a right just to be ill from time to time! I was at least hoping to do pancakes later but we'll see.

Anyway, must go, headache, can't focus properly :(

Morning all! Hope those who are feeling poorly start to feel better soon, and best wishes to Vicky's dad!

Since finding the OS thread I feel that I have to get on with all the chores just to keep up with you all! ;) So this morning I've tidied the sitting room - children left stuff everywhere this morning! Loaded WM and TD - both whirring away. Made garlicky cheese and leek pasta, ready for tea, put rolls and cinnamon rolls to prove (made from potato dough - amazing stuff!), now reading this I've realised it's pancake day, so will keep the cinnamon rolls as a snack and make pancakes for pudding tonight :T Have cleared DW (nobody emtied it whilst I was at work last night  ) and done washing up of pans that I generated today! Frozen 3 portions of chicken curry left over last night - need to defrost freezer soon though, else won't be able to fit any more goodies inside!

Have also sorted out all the clean washing into everyone's piles, ready for them to put away this evening :rotfl:

Also tidied the stuff that children/dh had left around our bedroom - why do they do it?!

Just need to clean bathrooms - children have left conditioner (at least that's what I hope it is  ) all over the size of the bath - yuck! When I've finished that I shall have a nice relaxing bath - had a tough course yesterday, helped out at dd1's guide pack and worked last night, so need to relax and gather my energy before meeting at dd2 and dd3's school, helping with the book sale, cooking a billion pancakes and going to work again tonight!

Hope that you all have a good day - and that it warms up a bit! :D

Morning everyone :) Hugs to those feeling poorly :grouphug:

I had a good afternoon yesterday sorted through all my kitchen cupboards found a couple of things for ebay and spend the rest of the afternoon baking and cooking...only downside to that was after putting munch to bed I wanted to tidy...the dinning room of course :rotfl: ....so started but DH wanted to tidy front room. As it was from standing up so much earlier my back was in absolute agony and I could hardly move so in the end DH suggested we go to bed at 8.30pm.

Changed sheets and laid down and cried it hurt so chuffin much  (big hugs to those who have to deal with this kind of pain all the time) My lower back is bad from being pregnant and then having munch and is in a right old state but most of the time just aches and hurts like made if you put pressure on it but silly me did too much :( DH prayed for it and it felt so much better apart from one tidy spot and I feel asleep within 10 secs of him finishing, positive side of it all was that I had 10 hours sleep last night. :D Back was sore this morning....thats the beds fault, we bought a new matress 3 years ago but I did it in a bit being preggas and all so it hasn't lasted well  I'm going to use my clicks money to buy a new bed. ;)

Haven't done much yet, best friend poppped over this morning for a couple of hours so it was lovely to see her and my god son and she found out last week she is 7 weeks pregnant which is very exicitng.

Anyway best get on need to try and do a bit of tidying and munch has her 2 year check up at the doctors surgery this afternoon so will get banking ready to do while in town and pop into MIL's shop to pick up some stuff to crochet. :D

    B - Cereal
    L - Sandwich (HM bread)
D - Vegetable soup (if I get round to making it) followed by pancakes!!! :T

  • A proper morning now.

The sun is making me smile and feel more energetic. So far, i've cleaned the bathroom, hoovered the bathroom, stairs, hall and landing, put last nights washing up away, done this mornings lot, and got the WM and BM on. That is really pretty good for me.

I was hoping that the bread would be ready for lunch, but i need to have an early lunch as i have a friend coming to visit this afternoon who i haven't seen for a few months. I think i might just have a picknicky type lunch with fruit and a flapjack. I'm feeling a bit queasy anyway this morning, so i won't be eating too much.

For tea, we will be having chilli pancakes, followed by sweet pancakes. That means that DH will cook the pancakes as i am not very good at flipping them, which equates to he takes over. I find it easier to pretend i can't do it actually :rotfl: same with omlettes. ;)

i need to do a couple more online bits, but then i think i will have a bit of a flick round the living room so it looks a bit more presentable. I only hoovered it yesterday, but when the kittens chase each other round i end up with bits of cat fur all over.

    Have a fab day everyone.

  • Morning all.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so rough, Bargain Rzl, take it easy, keep warm, drink lots and hopefully you'll be feeling lots better tomorrow.

Mossy, I feel for you with your bad back - my DS is now 7yo and its taken about that long for it to semi-recover from years of riding horses & motorbikes and then becoming pregnant! Just do what you can do and take care of it. I found that the good old wheat bag warmed up and snuggled into the small of my back helped .. I guess a hot water bottle would do the same thing, if you're wheat bagless!

As for us, well, we've just come back from our weekly excursion to a supermarket. Asda was our supermarket of choice today, and even with our best intentions, we still spent £70 instead of £55. *sigh* Yes, okay, I did buy a pot of Narcissi bulbs .. and an extra pack of butter for making more lemon curd .. and a pack of Coco Pops Straws because DS has been panting over getting some to try and I hate being the mean Mummy who always says no .. and we bought two chickens because it was more economical at £4 for 2 .. and I bought peanut butter .. and DH bought £6-worth of beer. Oh well, I guess its not hard to see where it went, then. Maybe I'll have to re-assess the budget. *sigh*

Since then, I've put a chicken in the SC to cook out and be divided up to provide the makings for tomorrow's chicken pie and Sunday's chicken quiche, plus hopefully we'll get another pot of chicken stock out of it. :D

We had some good news this morning - our money will be going up a little from April. Hurrah! Every little helps, as the old lady said as she wee'd in the sea. ;)

Right then, its starting to feel like lunchtime and I've got a pile of DS's ironing waiting for me after that. Keep warm, everybody, the wind outside could cut like a knife!

B : Multigrain bread and h/m lemon curd
    L : leftover shepherd's pie
    D : Pancakes! Pancakes! Pancakes!
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:
