i shop in lidl or aldi about twice a month and have never seen anyone use the packing area, i was in the torquay lidl on saturday and everyone was packing into boxes or bags at the till.
the packing area was mentioned in a previous thread and until then i assumed it was for sitting the kids while you pack your bags.WWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0 -
Incidentally I ended up in Aldi due to one of the posts in this forum about a pick axe for about a tenner. So glad I did not buy it although I did think it was a good deal.
Well thank goodness you didn't have that on the conveyor belt or you might have been facing charges now :eek:Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

There was only 2 checkouts open. Not enough staff Aldi, employ more!
And if they do, up go the prices to pay the wages.
Your attitude stinks, the poor girl was doing her best in a very stressful situation. She was trying to clear the queue as fast as possible to keep moaning customers like you happy! Was it really a hassle to just load up the trolley and pack away from the checkout so that she could get to the next customer?
Being stuck behind a dawdling customer as they faff around packing their bags is a deeply frustrating experience, I always make a habit of loading the trolley and getting out of the way as fast as I can, then filling my bags.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
I am afriad this is what happens when shops employ immigrants with little grasp of the language.
Does this mean his wife is an immigrant. Sounds like a sun headline "immigrant wife attacks british robot"
Some people have to shop at aldi and lidl to survive, the attitude of the OP was he lowered himself to go in there and found it to be a horrible place full of evil people who put things through their checkout rather than chase his kids round the shop and give his wife an english class.0 -
