Why did you leave it until the last minute?Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I placed at order at 9am this morning via the sports direct website. My son needs trainers for a football game tomorrow, so I paid the £6 next delivery and also added a couple of cheap (2x £3.50) t-shirts to the order.
They emailed me at gone 10 o'clock at night, more than 12 hours after the order was placed, to say the trainers are not in stock. I'm now still paying £6 for a couple of cheap t-shirts I didn't need desperately and am left unable to purchase trainers for my son without having to rearrange my entire day tomorrow. Not acceptable.
Send an email back cancelling the tee shirt order if you no longer want them.
Why do you have to re-arrange your entire day?
How long does it take to buy a cheap pair of trainers?0 -
Just came across this thread.
I think we must have a really, really good store here. I have bought from Sportsdirect many times - from tennis balls to trainers and I can't remember a single time when I have not been told that there is no cash refund but they will issue a credit note.
I actually thought it was part of their training that they informed customers of that before they parted with their money, but reading this thread it seems to be exclusive to my local store.
Well done to my local shop.0 -

It's not just you. I've had no problems at all either. I've had to change 2 items this year and:
- I was told I could exchange and pay the difference
- I was given a gift card because there was no item I was buyingSealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

the one at Peterborough has the refund policy 2 meters above the tills, nothing at ground level very easy to miss and the writing is very small as well0

I've never had to queue to try on some trainers.
I walk in, head straight for the shoe area, sit down on a seat, try them on, then go and stand in a queue to pay for them.just passing through.... Nothing to see....0 -

You do realise that you've replied to somebody who posted that waaaaaay back in January 2009, don't you?
The trainers the OP bought nearly 6 years ago have almost certainly worn out by now. :rotfl:0
