  • I have found that when my dear old Grandma gets her pension she nearly always gets a couple of £2 coins.

Now before you think I am stealing from an old lady's pension, I might add that I have just exchanged them for a crisp £10 note. So this is a fair exchange between pensioner and student.

    Nonetheless, 2 more today. Now that's £14. :D

    Hi to every1

Started saving £2 coins before joining Money Saving Expert and to date I have £54.

Im picking up a copy of "The Money Diet" at my local library this evening and I will go home and start calculating the true debt that i am in which i figure to be around £21,000 fortunately it is only about £3-4000. that I owe to companies and the rest to my Mother and sister (Phew-No Interest).

Wish me luck in my job hunting as it very hard living on £56 a week.

Was all excited because i had over £20 in £2 coins and was heading down tomorrow to put it into my savings. UNTIL today the kids heard the ice cream van, now they normally only get one everyother week and today was the day, i told my eldest to get some change and go and get them as i was busy with some housework.

Later when i came to bag up my coins i realised 2 where missing.........she hadn't found any change and not wanting to use a note she dipped into the £2 pot

So now i am under again £18 to be exact.

She didn't know she was not supposed to take any change from that pot without my approval so it wasn't really her fault. But i have made it VERY clear now :rotfl:

Oh dear Queen B, have you forgiven her yet? I am still muttering about having given my DD one at the end of last week because I had no other money in the house!

I was given another today in the PO. Post Offices seem to be my best source.
So I am now up to £40! Amazing.
