  • Hi,
Just thought i'd post this info as it may help if this store is close to you .went in this lunchtime and they had quite a large stand with the lee stafford sets marked down to £17.99 no HE, MM, Gillette or putting sets. Radox was at full price no Olay GWP either (or im just rubbish at finding these) did get the olay face wash priced at £5.86 for 86p with my £5 skincare voucher, only store I have found these as all the ones close to home in east london havn't had them.

Didn't have time to scan all sel for offers as OH waiting in car, but there were two small stands of clearance mainley Mark Hill Holiday Hair stuff reduced to £1.25 and some No7 sun bits, couldnt find any love notes books for the 500pts voucher when you but the Girard gift set (lucky i had mine in my purse ) They had quite a few of these set if your looking for these and lucky enough to have a voucher.

    Hope this helps someone

I also generously gave both DGD and DD a Soap & Glory Hand Food, that each cost me 20p, using the voucher. Very good value!! :T
    xx

Hi Sandy. Hope you are OK. Just a quick question. How come the Soap and Glory Hand Food only cost you 20p? Can that voucher be used on this item? I thought it was that posh skincare stuff only? Thanks.

I haven't seen any of the putting sets, Naked Men, or whatever they're called, or tuppeny ha'penny things that originally cost £35, but I've had loads of good deals, like today, and am more than satisfied with what I do get.

Do you think they'd do these as a 342 ? :rotfl:

(just as long as they're not "wrinklies" )

I was thinking the same , is it the voucher from xmas gifts or the one directly from S&G x
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

Hi sweetie. What I did was paste and stick the whole section starting from the bit that says in red "This is even MORE embarrassing!"

Then I picked up the £2.20 Hand Food, presented this with the voucher to the SA (on photos) and it wouldn't go through. So she read it a few times, and then said "I'll have to over-ride this" which she did.

Then when I went to the next till, far away, (young lad, looking bored, picking his spots) I said "I've bought this before but the SA had to over-ride the till, cos it wouldn't go through" and the SA said "Ker". Only he just pronounced the beginning of the letter K!!

Then the third time I went to photos in the other branch, and went through the same rigmarole. HTH

Saw some of those Naked handwashes on clearance in White Rose, and lots of No7 stuff which they still have not gotten rid of. Nothing else on clearance at all, not a single Model Me either! Boohiss. Saw this woman pick up the last 2 L'Oreal Men Expert bag things that were on that BOGOHP offer, and thought oh well. I so wanted one, but good for her. Hope it makes someone happy.

Leeds had quite a lot of Model Me Erina's on their clearance shelf upstairs. I saw some for £1 and got a few with haircare blues, and then found a whole collection of them right at the back at 50p each, but couldn't be bothered with the hassle of taking them back etc. Also saw some ROC something or the other refill pack at £4.50, so this would be free with a skincare blue. They have changed the Gilette golf set offer, you only get it if you spend £10 or more. I don't think so!

Saw some Charles Worthington super shiny whatever it was for £1.10 each in Dewsbury along with lots of No7, suncare, and posh hair straigtening and curling implements.

Dad is fine by the way. Hope everyone has a good weekend and no one gets snowed it. Enjoy.

    Hiya

I have one of the mens expert gift set things (they only had one in the store). I was going to put in my nephews Christmas bag, but if you really want it, let me know and I will send it to you. My Nephew is only 12, so I am sure he won't miss it!!.

  • Well said :T ......it is just pure greed to buy that amount, and the people that are defending her must be doing the same judging by some of the comments posted.

Nobody (no matter how big their family) could use that amount of toiletries, so I expect that those of you that live near that area will probably find a good stock of all these items at your local Boot Sale this Sunday. That's if the OP isn't still out shopping to add to her hoard, depriving even more people of their fair share of a bargain.

As for the comment about "if you want a deal go out and find it", what chance has anybody got of doing this when people have phoned the store and asked for the 'deal' to be taken off the shelf until they get there. I dont know about not expecting things to be on the shelf 3 days after its been discovered......I think you would need to be psychic and see a deal 3 or 4 days in advance to be in with a chance of getting any if you were in this persons area!!!!!

This glitch has been known about by many (but not by me, I only found out this past week) for weeks on end so any 'blame' you wish to attach is with those who couldnt be bothered to get out their chairs and go and get it!!

I did the leg work of mapping out all the stores, phoning them to check stock levels and yes, even got a few held for me. If you don't ask after all, you don't get. I then spent a whole afternoon driving the 120 mile round trip (along with the cost in fuel and parking charges) to get my bargain.

If you expect me to apologise for that then you'll be waiting a long, long time!

Oh and yes, I have been shopping this afternoon, but you'll be pleased to know in THIS city, most the bargains have gone and I managed a mere 9 HE's and a smattering of other clearance items.

What might be of interest to people here is all the memory cards I found on clearance today. Only in one store but worth keeping an eye on. I got a 2gb xd card for 8 quid but they also had smaller ones, SD cards and the memory 'pen' type things you plug into a usb, all at rock bottom prices. Go get em!!:D

Mel, oh gosh no! You keep it for your nephew. Very generous of you though for that kind offer. I only said what I did in that posting as I know some other Bootsers get really upset when they can't find stuff that is on offer or on a glitch! I used to get stressed out when something I wanted was not there, but life is too short. I really don't want to be getting all excited cos something I wanted has been cleaned out by another.

SANDRA: Gosh, that does seem like hard work. Think I will give it a miss, but then again I might just give it a shot one day next week. Thanks for letting us all know about it.
