Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 49 - Post your finds here

This is continuation of Boots Grabbit Part 48
Updated - 29 January 2009

This post contains all the updated glitches, offers etc and post 2 contains Q&A so please read the first and second posts of this thread for any answers you need. This will save a lot of duplicate questions on this thread.

All Boots seems to have different policies. What happens in one does not necessarily happen in another.

Successfully getting some of the better glitches often depends on if the SA you pick is willing to try. Its sometimes sensible to buy some other things to 'disguise' your bargain. If the SA won't put it through, please don't make a fuss - they are only doing their job. Just try again another SA / store / day. It is a good idea to try and make a friend in a SA if possible.

  • Ok I'll copy my post into here instead, I always post at the cut off! :p

Hi ladies, hope you're all keeping well. I don't really Boots anymore (a combination of uni, illness and trying to save my money) but I just thought I'd pop in and let you know of something I found a couple of days ago in my little local Boots...

In the clearance section were lots of bottles of 30 Centrum Performance vitamin tablets, normal price £6.84 but reduced to £1.71 and also on 3 for 2. So I got 90 tablets for £3.42, bargain I thought and plenty of date left on them. Keep a look out!

Now a quick question, I had an eye test the other day and need prescription glasses for reading. I have an NHS voucher for £35.50 towards the cost. I emailed Boots and they said I can use this and still get the 2 for 1 on glasses over £75. But I've also found a £20 Opticians voucher from when I was shopping a couple of weeks ago, does anyone know if I can use this too? It says on it that you can use it with the 2 for 1, but I don't know if they'd accept that and the NHS voucher. Just wondered if anyone knows? :)

I've just applied the No 7 Quick dry Body tan spray that I got with a blinkie for 88p. Very easy to apply, just waiting for the colour to come - says 1-2 hours!!! Will let you know how it looks later!!
  • I know this is off topic( but I will be getting the stuff from boots )

I'm making up a box of essentials stuff for my friends little boy and he's 7 months old. I know she is struggling with money atm, so just want to do something to help.
Coluld anyone give me an idea on the size nappies needed, as I have only had experience with a premature little girl before?
    Could you pm me, please.

    TIA
  • Hi all

Thanks CPG for the new thread :A

If anyone sees the new No7 GWP (the one that is due to start 28th Jan) available early, please can you let me know where (PM me if you don't want to post) as I'd love to get one for my mum, she's been an :A lately! I'm in the Shropshire area, so anywhere round here would be great....

    Thanks!
 I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?
  • Can anyone tell me the best way to use the No7 glossy locks spray please.
Do you leave it in/ or wash it off/ how much to use/ with or after conditioner etc.
I picked one up and now am unsure of how to use it.TIA:)

Your right i have given myself a slap across the face and given myself a good talking to about pulling myself together.

    heres my list for tommorrow,

    Shops 1,2,3,4,5,6
No7 mens hair and body wash £6.36
    £5 off, 250 points coupon.
    Total £1.36 + 250 pts

    Shops 7,8,9,10,11,12
    No7 4 in 1 wipes £6.36
    £5 off, 250 points coupon
    Total £1.36 + 250 pts

    Shops 13 & 14
    No 7 facewash £7.34
    £5 off, 250 pts
    Total 2.34 + 250 pts

    Shop 15
    Trevor sorbie volume spray £4.37
    Pantenne £1.75
150pts WyB TS mailing, 150pts WYB TS ACM, £1 off pantenne, 100 auto pantenne points.
    Total £5.12 + 400pts + blinkie

    Shop 16
    Elle Macpherson Lime spray £4.84
Elle firm body lotion (mailing voucher free with above) £0.00
    cotton buds £0.60p
    Use Elle mailing voucher.
    Total £5.44 + blinkie

    SO thats a spend of £31.36 + 3900pts + 2 blinkies.

OF COURSE if i find any reduced HE i will add them to the No7 purchases to make the total to £5 to get a blinkie. And if i find like 21 bottles @73p each i will be adding them to shop 15 or 16 as i have a 150pts WYS £20 mailing and a 150pts WYS £20 ACm voucher.

So that would then make my spend £46.69 and 6300pts.

    WOOHOO.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!

At 7m most are weighing 8.5kg so would just be into a Size 3 which fits 16-28 lbs/7-13 kg, but babies can weigh alot less, but you'd be safer by miles with size 3 over size 2 really.
