It's been a whole week since I've been to Boots  But I have had my Baby Girl - 13 days overdue  9lb 8oz

Feeling very sore after emergency c section but got 3 or 4 blinkies (Correct / current term?) to use up. Also need nappy sacks and odds and ends.

Hoping to pop in over the weekend... can I just check that the pantene 100pts offer is still valid on the sachets? And does anyone know of any offers on Mini Mode, specifically the sleepsuits? Bought some beautiful ones in Newborn but they go up to 9lb 9oz and my not so little girl is about to grow out of them after 1 wear

    TIA

    Congrats on your new arrival!!!:T:T

Congratulations! and welcome to your little girl.

yes pantene 100 points is still on the sachets, but even better is some stores have reduced Herbal Essenses (old style packaging) from between 37p - £1.79ish with 100 points each as well. So really good if you can find them. They are on the same shelves with a reduced sel. hth
  • OK what's a Winkie they aren't listed in the 2nd post?

Being a beginner is hard work :o

Hi Shirl Girl! :hello: :hello: It's just like being a new girl at school on here for a few weeks, and then you'll be posting bargains, and glitches with ease!

At the moment, a Winkie isn't anything, not even an embryo. In fact, not even a twinkle in its Daddy's eye. ;) Pollsdolls came up with the name PINKIE back in the good ol' days, erm. about the end of October, when we had gorgeous pink vouchers, that gave you £5 off No 7 and Ruby & Millie.

These worked in conjunction with a TILL SPIT, the receipt you get at a selF service till, because they had different bar codes, and, with a bit of skill, you could actually get £10 off your 3 for 2 purchase.

Those were the Happy Days! :j :j :j :j You'd see Bootsers scurrying hither and thither with their Christmas purchases, that cost next to nothing. Friends and family were so pleased with their presents, and many a happy Bootsing household heard the recipient cry "Oh you shouldn't have spent so much on me - this is wonderful!!"

Actually some of these gifts that should have cost £5 worked out at about 30p! But we just said "Well, you're worth it", and prayed our noses wouldn't grow too long!

Then we had a blue £2 off something or other, that was called a BLUEY, which was followed by another blue voucher, which I thought of as a BLUEY TWO-EY. Are you following me honey so far?

Then, along came this lovely blue voucher with £5 off No 7, so I christened it a BLINKIE! I was so proud when the other Bootsers adopted this name!! So, if we continue with the INKIE theme, and it's white, it could be called a WINKIE, but it has to be democratically agreed. A bit like the Mr President of the USA taking the oath!

Someone else may come up with a most wonderful name, and then we'd happily adopt it! :T :T :T

Best thing you can do sweetie is print off the first page and stick it by the computer, and that way you can see at a glance all the strange and wonderful phrases and things we use here! We are all ages, creeds and colours, some work, some are students, some like me are retired, old and feeble, but it's good ol' Bootsing that helps us through the day!

Whatever Life throws at us, credit crunches, illnesses, huge bills, well, bills big enough to be called "Williams!", annoying kids, MILs, DILs, DHs, it doesn't matter cos we just Soldier On, waving our Bootsing Banner and singing ...

    HERE COME THE GIRLS!!!!!

  • Huge congratulations Shopping_mad! (sorry for being nosey - what's your new arrival called?)

I just thought of something else reduced during my visit earlier - The whole T&G Model Me range was reduced, can't remember all the prices but I stocked up on the dry shampoo (love it!) which was £1.35 usual price £5.37, worth looking out for ladies (especially if the new Winkie is for haircare).
3 children under 5 means not enough comping and crafting time

    August wins: Krisprolls tin :rotfl:
September wins: £100 H&M gift card
  • Hi shoppingmad, and congratulations! Wow, that's a big baby! Take every bit of help that is offered to you, and get plenty of rest - in order that you can be bright as a button when the next Boots glitch comes your way!

    xx
