  • (quote=mimi1234;18483153) Dad's got his last stage of chemo (hickman line and transplant) starting tomorrow, and will be in hospital for a few weeks. I'm hoping it goes OK and that he will come out fine. Please can all of you say a little prayer for him whenever you can, and one for the family as well. Everyone seems really upset at home. Sorry, I know I'm not meant to chat on here, but I just did. Ooops. :o Thanks all. x x Mimi x x[/quote]

Just wanted to let you know i am thinking of you and your family, I know how tough it can be.

  • Can i just say i am thinking of all others who are struggling with cancer or a family member suffering. My mum has been battling with the illness for over 15 years. Unfortunately she is now in a hospice and we have very little time left. She is my best friend and although it is a terrible thing to go through i am greatful for all the wonderful times we have had. My hearts go out to you all.

The Clinique offer on dot com is working perfectly for me...?

I tried it yesterday and the day before, and each time there was no 'buy' button, and the link for more details didn't work either. The guy I spoke to at CS said the details button should link to Clinique's website, but that wasn't working at present, and the lack of a 'buy' button was a technical problem. They must have fixed it now, but they lost out on a sale to me, as I went elsewhere to buy it.

    Hi all :D

Thanks sally06 for the advice on Oxford st (unfortunately didn't see it till I got back - but thank you!)

    Managed the following:

    Shop1

    1 x Olay scrub wash £5.86
    1 x Purple GWP £0.00
Total to pay: £0.86 - using wrinklie

    Shop2

1 x Gilette mens deo spray £0.54 (marked on SEL as £1.75!)
    1 x putting set
2 x Radox protect refill handwash £0.49 (BOGOF)
    2 X Radox moisturise refill handwashg £0.49(BOGOF)

Went back for a few more Gilette sprays and putting sets! Even SA was shocked at the price :D

    Didn't make it up to the 2nd floor (luckily I didn't - don't need anymore make-up!)

No 'Love Notes' perfume booklets but Girard sets and other reduced perfume on the Ground floor.

Reduced jewellery (had no idea Boots did jewellery - from £1) on ground floor too.

    HTH :D

I forgot to look for the putting sets:rolleyes: well done for spotting them:D
  • when i read this this morning when i got up from my night shift it made me laugh, so glad u liked my shopping list. such a variety yet a cheap shop tho.

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry, but I laughed like a drain at your post - you have such an exotic shopping list!!!

Ant powder, kitchen descaler, durex gift packs!!! It put me in mind of the Peggy Lee song "Cos I'm a wo .... man ...................., which lists all the things she can do in a day, singing it all very quickly, and I had visions of you singing:

I can kill ants, lurking in your pants, descale a pan, make love to a man ......cos I'm a wo ..... man!!

Those of you who are old enough to remember this song will know exactly what I mean, the rest of you will be shaking your heads and thinking "It doesn't even scan, what a lot of rubbish"!!!!

    xx

    Vouchers -
I have 3 p&p £5 off vouchers from the acm I dont need.
3 x Love notes 500 points voucher too.

Dont need these ,shame I would love to give them to some people who could use them. My pm box is empty ........hint

I got the p& p lipcare with one of my vouchers but im really poor this month so cant afford to buy anything else.Despite how tempting it is to get the gwp ! So its best to just give my vouchers away before temptation gets the better of me !!!
  • Tbh honest crawley wasnt very good, last week i found croydon better tbh. but they do have a couple of acm's in crawley hth

Oh was Crawley not very good then - was planning to head over there tomorrow!!! Well after the disaster yesterday in my local one where the ACMs weren't working I went to another one today and they didn't even have a machine!!! Grrrrrr!! A few more clearance items than yesterday but mostly old tat!!! I did manage to get the following:

No7 Toning Sun Protection SPF 15 for £2 (normal price £11.75)
No7 Toning Tan Maintainer for £2 (normal price £11.75)
Especially good for me as I'm heading out to my mum's in Spain in March!!!

So not bad bargains!! Still after the illusive Advantage Card machine!!! and extra vouchers!!

Is it worth trying Crawley then? or not really?

Hi all. Just been to Boots to spend my wrinklie I got yesterday and I got for the £2 haircare voucher, John Frieda Volumising Brunette Shampoo, and John Frieda Brunette Intense Conditioner for a total of 36p as both were reduced to £1.18 :D, Im not Brunette so will be giving them to my mum. There wasnt much cheap for the skincare voucher (I am sooo skint!!) so I got the Time Delay eyecream. I also got two Botanics Hair Dyes redcued to 93p but on bogof, so my total spend was oly £3 for what seems a lot of goodies :D
Finally, I can see you crystal clear
