  • Must be feeling better - am now planning tomorrow's Bootsing trip! My BF and I were sent letters by the Romford branch (they weren't on headed paper, so looked like they were store-specific), thanking us for our custom, and inviting us to see their new, and "remodelled ranges". We were offered a form to complete when we visited on one of the Christmas Shopping days.

As well as the GWP, we have been offered an extra "Free Gift Of Your Choice"!!!!! Should I go for that incredibly expensive large P & P cream! I'm sure they mean a Lucky Dip from their bowl of reduced varnishes, but a girl can live in hope. :j

Having "acquired" the S & G voucher, I have examined it minutely, but can't see anything saying that you cannot use it on minis - so can you please? I'm going to take my P & P lip stuff back as well - the taste is making me feel sick, and I'm sure that wasn't Mr B's original intention!

May I ask the more mature ladies which brand and type of cleansing wipes they find most effective? I quite like the Olay, and the L'Oreal for mature skin, and have now relegated my Roc ones (bought with the bluey) to bathroom cleaning duty!

Also (sorry about all these questions), I belong to the instantly recognisable 1960s Eyebrow Club. ;) It was the fashion then to pluck, pluck and pluck again, and most of the time my fringe covers my sparse arches, but if I push it back, I reveal the unattractive "plucked chicken" look. :(

If I've got loads of time, or I'm going somewhere special, I try using a combination of light and dark brown pencils, and do little tiny feathery strokes, like you're advised to in all the magazines. Then I forget and rub my forehead, and look like Coco the Clown!!! :rotfl:

What do other peeps recommend, or should I just pull my hat down hard so that it covers my eyes? In Summer as well?

    xx

There aren't any minis in the skincare range :(
  • Been bootsing again today, before i go into detail about my buys i just want to say a huge thank you to all the lovely ladies on here for all your advice.
I only starting Bootsing on Monday, after reading all the posts on here, it inspired me to give it a try.
So off i went, with 500 odd points on my AC.
Now its Friday, and i've Bootsing like mad everyday this week, and now have a grand total of 2220 points on my AC!
Plus have got a load of freebies, and heavily reduced items! So i am a happy wee bunny!

    So onto the shop:
    Boots St Enoch's centre Glasgow
Has loads of love notes booklets EVERYWHERE! I picked up 4 of them if needed??
Had Gilette Putting sets, quite a lot of them too, although i don't need any, being a young'un and living with my mum lol!

    So i bought:
T&G Hair Spray (love this stuff!) £4.88, used £2 winkie &150points ACM voucher
Total to pay: £2.88, got 150points
Girard Gift set (another one) reduced to £8.56, used 500points voucher and got another winkie
Time Delay eye cream: £6.84, used £5 winkie, total to pay £1.84 (giving this to my mum)

I don't post very often but do follow the thread.

I just wanted to pass on my warmest well wishes to all those who are suffering from any illness. I'm sure a lot of us have stories of how we've been touched by cancer especially. My beloved granddad who sadly passed away this Christmas (not due to cancer - heart failure) was diagnosed with stomach cancer 32 years ago. He was given 5 years to live but ended up living to 82 years of age! I treasure every moment I had with him and see him as a shining example of how one can overcome anything (he was also a survivor of Auswitz!). So, ladies all the best and my prayers are with you. Sorry, rambled on there! ;)

On a more cheery note I did get some bargains in my local Boots Chemist (it's only down the road and I had to get a prescription - we're otherwise snowed in!).

I got 2 L'Oreal shaving foams for 69p but when I looked at the receipt one came up as half price.

Also got the last reduced HE and got 100 points.

Also tried an online code and it didn't work. I rang CS and they were lovely (shame about Tesco CS but that's another story for another thread). Extra points will be added when my order comes in as they are having problems with codes at the moment.

    Hugs to everyone.

Chester , had loads of the putting sets yesterday, at the end of the aisle, but all their Gillette was full price, (although each one was stickered up????)

No HE or Cheap Radox. They also have the Love Notes booklets on the counter, at the back right hand corner, that`s where their reduced stock is too.

I wanted to get the No7 Travel Bag in the sale (I had this item in my basket for the 75% sale) but with the boots.com problems the sale was cancelled. I was originally told my boots.com to go into store and order, so I tried and was told the item was coming up as £12.50 but discontinued no stock. But when she looked online she said they could order from there but the price would be £48.94! (same item) but higher price (and not discontinued). Boots.com said they would NOT honor any prices because of the problems that had - does anyone know if they think the sale will appear online again? I wanted to order this bag to take on holiday. Thx

on the back of the £2 voucher it says excludes electricals x

    Snipped!

I don't think they will be having the sale online now and there's hardly any sale stuff left instore either. Strange thing is though that they said they had no more sale stock but if they are allowing you to order the bag but at full price, it means they have stock.

I was so lucky and got one of these days after the 75% sale after seeing a SA with it on her shoulder. It's lovely but in no way worth the £48.94 they are asking you for!!

Might be worth calling customer service to ask why they are selling it at full price when they had told everyone that they had no stock to go ahead with the sell online. I expect there will be some excuse but it's worth a call.

Oh, there's several on dot com, that's a pain in the proverbial if they don't stock then in store. :(:(
