Their service has even been referred to as sometimes being "atrocious" (elsewhere on the net) by one of their reps who regularly posts in support of them in the uw thread.

This explains everything now I guess!!!!
Not quite. You haven't told us what the company say they are going to do for you.

My offer still stands. If you signed up directly with the company, PM me your customer number and complaint details and I will see if I can do anything to help you.

Well - talk of the devil!!

Before pm'ing your personal details to a uw rep, have a look at the abuse that detractors of the uw get from uw reps in the dedicated uw thread.

Imagine what would be possible if they could identify dtractors personally!

I haven't yet found anybody helpful enough to want to sort the problem!

After the balls-up with my first bill I decided to go back to my previous supplier (SWALEC).

Thanks for your offer though Nigel

 NigeWick has offered his services, he's a distributor of several years standing, I gather. If you are still experiencing problems like you have just intimated, why not take him up on his offer to try and get the problem sorted?

Well, take me up on my offer then.

I don't mind you switching, I'd just like to try and show you that Utility Warehouse aren't as bad as some make out. ;)

As far as I am aware, none of the principal UW detractors on MSE have commented on their service.

There have been several complaints about UW customer service but that is to be expected with any Utility Company.

Indeed with 16,600 UW reps who should take up the case of dissatisfied customers, one would hope that problems would get sorted quickly.

Regarding uw service, it is actually Nigewick (from uw) who has publicly commented the most strongly about their service standards.

Elsewhere (in a public discussion frequented by other uw reps on what the uw service is like) he has reported their customer service at times to have been "fairly atrocious"!

As posted above, no "detractors" have posted any view on the service aspect, so interesting for us to see that appraisal from someone who should know!!

At least UW did not overcharge me to the tune of £470 as did British Gas when I was with them. At least they have always ended up sorting out the problem for me, to my satisfaction. At least if a person signs up with a UW distributor, they can call on somebody who has a vested interest in getting any upset fixed.
