Utility Warehouse. Why did I switch?

Just had a telephone call from a very pleasant man in the Chief Exec's office at UW. He admits that incorrect readings had been added to my account which explains why I never recived a correct bill initially. There after things were spiralling out of control and nobody at UW wanted to take ownership!!!!
We have both agreed on what my actual start and finish readings should be and this will be reflected in my next bill which hopefully be the last. Once the bill has been received I have to give a call and a gesture of goodwill will be added to the account. So it does sometimes pay to go right to the top.
IME it ALWAYS pays to go right to the top, DaveGlad it is (hopefully!) sorted.

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Hmmmm
Just received what should be my final bill. Gives a total outstanding of £263.77. This is for just over 2 months worth of gas & electricity. With my previous supplier gas & electricity was just over £600.00 for a year!!!
Looking at all UW bills they have added all bills together and come up with this figure. So that is the incorrect bills all added together to give another incorrect total!!!
Unfortunately the gentleman I was speaking to a few weeks ago in UW is away on holiday.
I'm rapidly running out of hair to pull out!!!!!!0 -
All sorted!!!!!
UW have indeed added all my incorrect bills together which has been confirmed. We have finally agreed (!) on what the bills should be and the membership fee along with standing charges have been waived which total approx £20.00!
I did state that with having now 5 incorrect bills and a membership fee along with standing charges on each of them then the £20.00 waived isn't really a gesture of goodwill as had the bill been correct in the first place I wouldn't have accumulated 5 lots of membership fee & standing charges!! To end matters I'm going to pay them and never deal with UW ever again.
It is just not worth the hassle & inconvenience.0 -
