    I did indeed.
Good man yourself. Sometimes going directly to the top gets rapid results. I hope it does for you.

No reply whatsoever, not even an acknowledgement!

I have now instructed the Energy Ombudsman to intervene.

How difficult is it to obtain an accurate and correct gas & electricity bill?

I'm wondering if any film producers want to make my plight into a film? I was thinking of a Hollywood Blockbuster. George Clooney could play me!!!!!

I moved to UW at the end of last year as they appeared cheaper for gas & electricity. Unfortunately I still have not had a correct bill despite providing readings etc. UW always come up with a pack of lies as to why they can't produce a correct bill. Needless to say after experiencing their lack of service and comittment to customers I switched back to my previous supplier who are actually cheaper than UW and not the other way around. I still haven't had a correct bill from them!!! If you want my advice, don't switch, it really isn't worth all the aggrevation and hassle.

So what did they tell you? Did they say, sorry we can't actually supply your phone and internet but we can supply you with gas and electricity cheaper than the big 6 suppliers?

That's poor. When I complained to a company some time ago, I sent it recorded delivery to make sure they got it. I got a reply from the top bloke but it didn't do a lot of good.

Getting an accurate reading is no problem. Getting companies to agree what it was when one took over from the other, and, who gets what proportion of payment is another matter entirely.

My previous supplier and I have both contacted UW with what was my final reading. For some unknown reason they choose not to use the actual readings but the fictitious ones.

Hopefully the Energy Ombudsman may be able to sort something.

I'm sorry to say, but I have never dealt with a company quite like UW!

I hope so too. It's obviously been a pain for you.

Just had a telephone call from a very pleasant man in the Chief Exec's office at UW. He admits that incorrect readings had been added to my account which explains why I never recived a correct bill initially. There after things were spiralling out of control and nobody at UW wanted to take ownership!!!!

We have both agreed on what my actual start and finish readings should be and this will be reflected in my next bill which hopefully be the last. Once the bill has been received I have to give a call and a gesture of goodwill will be added to the account. So it does sometimes pay to go right to the top.

I hope it will cover more than postage and phone costs.
