It is also pertinent to point out that you made the same claims before the introduction of the cashcard.
When I checked previously, Utility Warehouse was best value for me. I readily admit that I did not check every week or even monthly, just occasionally. I once got as far as applying for Southern and then they put their prices up making my switch not worth it. With the pre payment card, which I obviously accept conditions for, I save money every month on my electricity and gas bill. I am sure that there are many others who would be willing to accept the same restrictions in order to pay less for their utilities. I am also sure that there are many people not willing to so so. It's called making choices.

I joined them because in my networking circles there are loads of distributors and I wanted to see what the deal was - pretty poor!

Strange i thought business networking was about helping each other, not criticisng others products. If their products are as bad as you suggest ,why do you still use them and recommend them to others?

Have you yourself signed up any distributors ? :D

His post are invariable single agenda, unbalanced, destructive and he contributes nothing.
I disagree. I believe that he upsets Quentin and your good self because he offers an unbiased opinion that states Utility Warehouse has some good points.

As far as I can ascertain, it's a business-promotion vehicle just like any other business has  Apart from the fact you've got a bee in your bonnet about this company, what's the difference between the UW Mini and most other company-sponsored vehicles?

I'm assuming you prefer this type of subtle promotion? Would certainly look good in your local Tesco car park

I'd have joined this site earlier if I knew what fun you have here!

Does being new stop me having an opinion or from being allowed to express them here?

I am a UWDC 'distributor' / customer as well as being utility broker / consultant - I feel I can speak from both sides of the fence and all that I have posted is true and valid.

You've been a utility broker for years and this is the first time you've visited this site/forum? Go on, then, tell us where this meeting took place where the distributor made such a wild claim. Name and shame....in the North East?

I believe very strongly about business networking and helping other businesses. (a lot of UWDC distributors do it as a second job to earn pinmoney -unless they do it full time I do not class it as a job!) I object to anyone standing up in a room of 35 business people and stating that 'you can all save £855' - because I dont think anyone on this board would claim this to be true!

I have 2 0800 numbers and 1 0845 number from UWDC, my parents use them for their phone service (I do not) and most of my other customers are 0800 numbers or a few broadband or home phone customers.

I believe they have a place but that their products are generally not best in class or the cheapest. My main objection to the company is the way it does business.

I do not believe in signing up distributors and will not do this or take part in any pyramid schemes.

I'll stick to selling business energy and leave the Pharaohs to build the pyramids.

Carmine it is funny how you can go back through peoples posting history to find out what supermarket they shopped in three years ago to have a dig at them but you cant be bothered to look through other posts relating to UW

Let me jog your memory, take a look here.. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=10528603&postcount=417

4th paragraph, he states the UW cars are given as company cars to the highest sellers, the redbull cars are just as you described, promotional vehicles.

In actual fact I would recommend anyone reads that post (its quite long) if they are interested in the way UW do business.

Are you suggesting they operate a Pyramid Scheme ?
