That's a good idea - cutting out rubbish 2 nights a week. That should be a bit more achievable. Thanks!.
Hi Leo, I'm an evening snacker too. I usually try and work backwards - I check the calories on the particular carp I want to eat that evening, then see if I can find a lower calorie acceptable alternative (usually a smaller size), then I try and budget the calories so I leave enough for the evening, or if I'm well enough, I do some housework or go for a walk to 'earn' enough extra calories to cancel out the evening treat.
Frozen grapes and chopped up fruit like melon is also a good idea as it takes a while to eat, tastes like ice-lollies, and doesn't have many calories.
My downfall is eating out - I alsways MEAN to make healthy choices...I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

Hi, I'm an evening snacker too, I don't have too much difficulty eating healthily during the day, but I sabotage myself late at night. I've managed to cut out the beer and family sized bags of crispsbut have replaced them with ever-larger bowls of mueseli/cornflakes and raisins . I'm desperate to lose weight, ease the strain on my joints so I can exercise more, and so on, but just can't seem to resist food when I'm tired.
Planning ahead, and choosing lower-cal alternatives, is a great idea, so I'll try that, thanks!0 -
Well tomorrow is the day
. I've just got a bargain on ebay and brought a weight watchers pack, i'm going to try and follow the points system as I can stick to things like that when I know there is only a certain amount I can eat and I will have to find foods to stick within the amount.
Next week i'm not working much so have planned to go out on lots of walks with OH. My problem isn't so much the eating to much its getting off my backside and doing some exercise
