I've been doing a bit of energetic cleaning this morning and also 40 lunges, unfortunately have also had two slices of toast with butter.

I'm going for a good long walk this afternoon and eating sensibly the rest of the day, gotta get back on track!

  • Hi everyone, hope you're all well :D

Have just weighed myself and am 11 stone 6, which was less than i expected so I must have lost a little bit without even trying :j We're off to lunch with the in-laws soon I definitely won't be tempted as they never have chocs or crisps in their house so I won't be tempted to pig out later.
All the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person... :D:p

LazyDaisy - from the other thread, yes, those are the scales. I am tempted by the digital ones for the reasons you mention (especially the accuracy), but have heard terrible things about them e.g. short battery life, frequent breakdowns etc. So I will have to make up my mind! MSE has me so frugal that I can hardly bear to spend £16 on a set of scales!!! :rotfl:).

Tara, I have had my scales for about 6 years, and have only replaced the batteries once, and then I got them from the pound shop, so not a big deal (mind you, that does include about 12 months when they sat in the bathroom waiting for me to get round to buying the new batteries....). As for the more expensive ones.... they are reduced, so think how much you'd be SAVING!

Just noticed the Jan thread has been closed! CHEEK! I'm not doing my last Jan weigh-in till tomorrow!!! Never mind, I will post my loss here instead :rotfl:

LazyDaisy - good point. I still can't decide between them but am leaning towards the digital ones as they also show body fat etc, and you can see to the nearest gramme how much you've gained or lost!! :rotfl: I need all the enocuragement I can get at the minute. Also, the mechanical ones are currently out of stock in all Belfast stores. :o

Right, I'm going for a walk this minute, have managed not to eat any more since my fatty toast breakfast and determined to do better for the rest of the day! I might even go and buy the digital scales.

It would have been one of the Board Guides on this board who closed the thread - probably so we dont have a January thread and a February thread running at the same time.

I got the "My Fitness Coach" for the Wii today after reading good things about it on Amazon so will be giving that a go today to try and shift the lbs. Need to get back into Paul Mckenna too as I need to pick the bit beyond "you can eat what you want when you want" that goes "and its not a Cadburys Creme Egg".

    Good luck to all

I've just had a go on mine and being a lazy !!!! it gave me a fairly easy workout to do :o. I've just set the guest settings off on an increased difficulty workout and I think that there is something for everyone in there as it does get quite hard on the increased settings. It tells you how many calories you have burnt too at the end of the workout too for extra motivation.
