  • Morning everyone - hope you are all well and wasting away!!

    Have a great holiday CrapWM!!!
Daisy - glad you had a good time - 3 whole weeks away, you lucky thing!
Tara - keep going with your lent "resolutions" - think about the rewards at the end of it!
Charlie - good luck with the 6lb loss! Actually i may join you on that one - i have an awards event to go to on 20th March and will be seeing peopple i last saw in November so would love to lose weight by then and have loads of people tell me i look good!!!:T

Had a migraine yesteday so was out of it for most of the day... which was actually quite good on the old eating front! Had some boiled eggs for brekkie, 2 chicken drumstix for lunch and cheesy omlette for dinner as still on atkins... although i finished off kids yogurts which have loads of carbs!! Was supposed to go to badminton yesterday - haven't played for years and was really looking forward to it - but was too sick to go! Next week wanna do badminton and keep fit - both at the school on tuesday and wednesday evenings.

Feeling much better today so will keep going with atkins, definately look a bit better around the waist - and am gonn try not to weight myself until Sunday...is that when we start the new challenge? Will start with whatever weight i am then....or is that cheating in some way?

Definately not on track for this challenge....so i know i need to step it up in March and do loads more excercise.

plzhelpmesave... whatever works for you my dear!! ;) I'm weighing in tomorrow morning and then not till Sunday night as I'm going to Edinburgh (woo) for the weekend. Sorry to hear about your migraine. How are you finding the Atkins? Which yogurts have carbs, is it just the flavoured ones? I must check the label on my natural yog, I thought it would be low carb, hopefully I'm right... :D

This morning I am 60.7kg, still 0.8kg off since 1 Feb! That's less than 2lbs but I am proud of it! :D I'll be lucky to lose another pound by Sunday, here's hoping! No gym today, just walking - I'll go tomorrow. Every other day is enough at the moment!!

Here's to a good day! I got through yesterday OK without sweet stuff, the next 6 weeks should be a doddle!! :rotfl:

Hi Dragon, just been reading through the previous posts,,,,

when/how did you get a broken pelvis???

Also re Dr Dragon's previous employers - I was an employment lawyer before I had to stop work, but I still do a bit of consultancy to keep my hand in, so I'm still fairly up to speed. I'll gladly help if I can, PM me if you'd like to chat about it x
I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.

OK, my natural yogurt has 7.6g of carbs (all sugar) per 100g. Is this too high for a low-carb diet?

p.s. it's nowhere near as nice as the lovely creamy 11% fat Greek yogurt unfortunately. :( I might try the Total 0% fat Greek yogurt but it's £1.95 per 500ml pot compared to 78p for the same size bio yogurt! Hmmm...

  • Tara I think its all yoghurts! Had a muller corner "healthy balance" pot so the carbs in that are probably from the crunch oats you tip into it... kids had already mixed it all up by the time i got to finish it off! But i had a flavoured yogurt the other day - aldi one i think - and that had carbs in it too. I only eat flavoured yogurt so not sure about natural..?
  • Morning All,

So I didn't make it to the gym last night after all, decided to cuddle up on sofa with cat and book instead! Won't be going tonight either but am planning to blitz and go Fri/Sat/Sun to make up for a bad week ;).

Ok work is calling so I'll have to scribble later.

    Wishing you all good Thursdays!

  • Hey Guys - quick Q for you while I remember, the treadmills at my gym don't have % incline, only levels 1 - 10 or something. So does anyone know what 15% incline is roughly equivalent too in levels?

Hiya everyone, i was a bit naughty and got on the scales a day early. Wish i hadnt bothered, as i seemed to have gained half a pound:o. I'm really really bloated at the moment, to the point that i feel quite uncomfortable.

On the subject of the davina dvd's i have them all and think they are all fab. My problem is i get bored easily so i tend to be really good for a few weeks, totally wear myself out then not do any exercise for ages. BTW her latest dvd is by far her hardest imo. You can really feel the burn!

Will this challenge be on for next month too? I do hope so. I've just written my shopping list for the first half of march. It looks so healthy its scary.

Right i'm off on me wii fit for half an hr, catch you all later

never too late - the 15% incline is the maximum on the treadmill at my gym - so that's probably equivalent to the highest level on yours! Try it anyway and see.

nickynoo - boo to the half pound, are you going to weigh in tomorrow as normal and see what happens?

I am still not eating sweets or chocolate (it's very difficult and only Day 2, please let it get easier), here's what I have eaten today:

1 large boiled egg (80 cals?)
    1 Actimel (70 cals)
    2 plums
    1 apple
    4 oatcakes (190 cals)
150ml low fat bio yogurt (75-ish cals)
lean bacon wholemeal roll with a tiny scraping of Flora

I am kinda full now, but still craving something sweet! I'll manage about 1.5 hours' walking today and maybe some weights later, then hit the gym tomorrow. I won't get much exercise all weekend in Edinburgh and will probably eat quite a lot, so need to get my activity in while I can! :D

Tara - all I know about the carwash is that its at Solihull Fire Station in Birmingham. I have been told to wear full waterproofs and get some marigolds so I shall be dressed in full sailing gear:eek:

Had chicken n chips from chippy last night but I did walk there and back and it is about quarter of a mile - had remaining chicken for lunch today. Avoided eating choccie today too, as my chum took me to see her hubby at his fire station (he is the station officer) and they were trying to get me to eat chocolate but I politely refused. I have found that since cutting back I have stopped snacking.:j

Am definitely thinner as my size 14 cords (M&S) are looser around the waist:j

Keep up the good work peeps.
