Good to see you back lazydaisy and I'm glad you had a good time! I'm hoping for a better March than February (even if my birthday does fall in March!) I think it will be easier once Dr Dragon is actually working again (one less stress) - now if we could just sort out the problems with his previous employers ........Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

LazyDaisy, I'm glad you had a good holiday, I am so jealous!!! At least the weather's improved here...
Dragon, that's good about Dr D.How are you feeling?
I have eaten rather a lot of Greek yogurt this afternoon, it's 11% fat, eeek!!!! Although I will be having NO chocolate so that will make up for it. Sort of. Oh well! Not doing too well Tara I'm sorry to say - I had to sleep sitting up last night because if I laid down I coughed too much and with a broken pelvis - well shall we say I didn't feel very feminine
:embarasse
Dr Dragon starts mid March - he needs to let the DWP know, but everything financially is working out *phew*! - I am currently soothing my throat/cough with wine gums and tea:o

Hi All,
Wow - you miss a couple of days and there's so much to catch up on! Good to know everyone is doing well and gritting their teeth as we near the end of the month. Congrats on all the losses - small and large!
Poshstock - especially big congrats to you! 12lbs lost is fantastic stuff.
Gemsy - sorry to hear about CS being so yucky but stick at it. Often a kick start like this is exactly what's needed so remember it's only 2 weeks - not a lifetime.
Gemsy & Charlie1986 - I've just ordered the Davina Power of 3 and 3 x 30 min workout DVDs after reading a lot of great reviews - which one(s) do you do? Do you think they work?
Tara - I definitely agree that feeling better, slimmer and more toned is the way forward rather than concentrating on weight loss. I'm sure I've got plenty of old jeans I've never fitted into lying around, maybe I'll go try them on for inspiration! Love the lent idea too - not sure what I can give up really as I don't *think* I eat badly bar the sugar in my tea which I've cut back to 1 teaspoon already. Hmmmm, will have a think.
Also - I used to go to a LBT class regularly and though they are all different, I def felt it afterwards. Squats are mean and evil but man do they work!
Aytch - school assembly, you must be crazy! Good idea though - I can imagine the kids and other teachers will be great at helping you stay true to your word.
Plzhelpmesave - you're not alone with thinking, dreaming, talking, writing about food non-stop! I'm pretty sure we're all a bit obsessed on here but I think the key is often to keep a food diary and be really honest in it (include all small naughtiness-es like Ferro Roche sneaked in when no one is looking - lol!) and meal planning. But also, don't beat yourself up if you do slip, life's too short to cry over something tasty!
Crap with money - big well done on losing 8lbs! Making your own food is so much better and cheaper isn't it? Makes you wonder why we bother with ready-made stuff! So how was the colonic? I'm intrigued!
SDH - hope you feel better soon and in the meantime, think of how you'll spend the "you've been framed" cash to make yourself feel better! What did you go for in the end with the take-away?
Horace - your spa sounds absolutely lovely! Methinks I'd ask if I could move in - especially if they can throw in massages and facials on a regular basis. What a treat!
little emmie - maltesers are basically just sweet air you know so I wouldn't worry about it too much ;-)
Dragon - just get through to the end of this month - sounds like it's been a tough one for you so don't beat yourself up about it. Tomorrow is another day and all that....
Well I had a target of losing 4 lbs by the end of Feb and methinks I'll be lucky if I lose 1! Have been off with a darn cold this week so far so yet to get to the gym or do a run or anything but DH is away this weekend so I'll have no excuse not to. Am trying to eat healthily too and avoid carbs after 5/6pm ish though I'm not always successful in this, ne'er mind.
What's people's thinking about exercising with a cold? Does it make things worse or have no affect? I was thinking of heading to the gym and trying the walking with 15% incline thingy but not sure I should especially as my sinuses are so blocked and painful.
Anyway, I ought to get on with finishing some work bits and pieces off so will no doubt check back later when I'm in need of further distraction!
Hugs for now peeps!

I've only done the first one, can't think what its called. I managed 20 mins :rotfl: . It really did work, i could feel it on my arms and legs. I'm going to have a go at cardio box later so will let you know what thats like. To loose my 6 lbs i'm just going to do more exercise and keep eating healthy. I'm not looking at it as I have to loose the 6 lbs its more of an aim. I'm also going to force myself to go swimming at some pointVirgin CC=£2652, Next= [STRIKE]£102.88,[/STRIKE] Very=£475.60, Natwest=£800, Sainsburys CC=£1777.02, Lloyds CC=£498.29, Lloyds Loan= £13,946.18, Car=£4000Total = [STRIKE]£26,147.23[/STRIKE] £23,849.09:eek:0 -
Charlie - congrats on the interview invite - and good luck!!! :T keep us posted OK?
never too late - go try on those jeans!!I'm sure you will find some wee dietary change you can make for Lent, and if not rest assured you are doing well already!! :rotfl: Re the cold, I'd say you will be ok as long as it's just a head cold and no aches/pains lower than your neck. If you have those, avoid the gym. Otherwise, just give the hill walking a go and good luck xo
I am still aching from that class two whole days ago, bloody hell!I walked for about an hour this evening, then came home to a lovely (but probably fattening) pea and pancetta risotto cooked by OH, yum. Ah well, since I'm not eating chocolate it'll be fine.

I only wish the treatments at the spa were free - I do get free use of the swimming pool but as I have glaucoma I am not allowed to swim although I did venture in for a paddle:D I also get free use of the steam room (bungs my sinuses), the funny shower, the sauna, the jacuzzi, the outdoor sauna and hot tub.
Did a fair bit of walking today, as I had to go to the hospital so it is a fair walk from the bus stop. Was a bit naughty at lunchtime and had a bacon sandwich and at tea time I succombed to chips and chicken from the chippy:rolleyes: Today, I was invited to a fundraising carwash at a local fire station so I said that I would go, so I can see myself bending and stretching and getting totally soaked but it does have advantages - I get to look at the chaps in their uniforms:eek:
Great to see you back Daisy, am glad you had a good time:D0 -
Horace, the carwash will be great fun and great exercise!!!
Can I come along?
I have managed to avoid snacking all evening, also got myself some low fat bio yog for tomorrow so will not be repeating today's greek yog fat fest!!
