Dragon, poor you!!! I hope Dr D is being extra nice to you... :A
Charlie, well done on the weight loss, every little helps! :T
marmalade - thanks, there's no Wilkinsons where I live unfortunately, so will check out Argos and Boots...
Horace, crapwithmoney is right - you are obviously losing inches and that is all that matters!! Exercise builds muscle and it weighs more than fat etc etc... doesn't it feel good to be able to do up those jeans!! :T
never too late - don't beat yourself up about your progress in the gym - the point is you are doing something! I haven't made much progress either but am still going and running and that is the main thing! Good luck with your next session.I fit in lots of walking every day by walking to and from work, that's an hour before I do anything else.
Well... I went to the gym! It was better than last week, I felt more energetic and managed to burn 300 cals in 24 minutes! :T I am about to have a lean bacon wholemeal roll for lunch, having had a slice of cake (gaaaaaah) earlier. Tonight I will do some resistance exercises. I have to write all this down, it sort of commits me to doing it IYKWIM!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

never_too_late wrote: »Good Afternoon Everyone,
It's really nice to hear everyone's stories and know I'm not alone in the "being naughty" ! Just had a chicken curry for lunch, whoops but it was yummy.
I've yet to weigh myself actually, may do so tomorrow but am afraid to cos I'm sure I'm yet to shift anything. Haven't exercised since last Wed but I WILL GO TO THE GYM either tonight or tomorrow! Problem is I'm too tired after work and way to rubbish in the mornings - no excuse I know. Once I'm there it's not so bad but I was meant to be running for 45 mins non-stop by now and I can barely manage 25 mins!
crap with money - give it a good last min push and most importantly of all, enjoy your holiday :j.
tara - how an earth do you fit in so much walking every day? me is impressed!
coffeholic - don't get down about the 2lbs, just get even
marmalade - great tips especially the underwear one! god knows i need something to make me feel better!
hugs,
ntl

Sorry ntl - somehow I managed to miss this post! Thanks very much - I will try my very best!
I second what Tara says about the gym too - anything is better than sitting at home watching TV (and probably consuming more calories rather than burning off even a few!!)
Plus - I'm absolutely in awe of anyone who can run - I can't even manage 5 mins, so give yourself a massive pat on the back for being able to do 25!!
Thanks Marmalade - I'll maybe invest in some when I get home!

Some diet tips that might help anyone who's struggling!
(I've stolen it from the Slimming World thread, but I deleted the ones that were specific to the diet):
Drink water or sugar free juices, the more the better, but don’t gulp it down as this can lower your blood pressure and make you feel faint.
Drink a glass of water and/or juice if you still feel hungry after a meal, quite often thirst is mistaken for hunger. Even better drink one before a meal, to fill you up quicker whilst eating
eat breakfast – there is nothing better for getting your metabolism going than a good breakfast
vary your foods on each day – i.e. don’t always have baked potato and beans, or chicken etc, variety is the way to go, no one can face the same meals for the rest of their lives!!!!
make a file of healthy recipes, and then rotate them so the same ones aren’t always at the front.
batch cook, put aside a couple of hours a week, to batch cook, then freeze recipes in meal size portions, ready meals for when you have one of those days you don’t want to cook, and if you do extra’s (say make 4 portions instead of 2) you start to build up a stock. This works well with veggies too, peel a big pan of potatoes and mash them at once, then freeze in portions, also with soups etc. Apparently the people who suggested this reckon they now hardly throw any food out, as its all used before it goes off, and also its reducing there food bills.
walking, its free, it’s easy to do, and it’s great for toning up you legs and bum. walk to the corner shop, or anywhere else you could really walk instead of using the car.
had a maintain/gain and don’t know why? Go back to basics, do a food diary, and be honest, you may find there is something there you haven’t been counting.
All a bit obvious I know, but sometimes I think it helps to see it written down!0 -
Stayed the same this week. At least I didn't put on though! Need to lose 2lbs this week to hit the half stone target.0

crapwithmoney, thanks for the tips!
Some good ones in there, I hadn't realised about the blood pressure. I drink a lot of water and am a bit of a gulper, especially when thirsty. I wonder if that could trigger hunger as well...
Rotherham Lass, you can so lose 2lbs in a week!
My friend is trying to persuade me to go to legs, bums and tums tonight... £5 fee is not very MSE but I might go to see what it's like (I am very fussy about classes, lol). Should I go?Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
