Yikes to the full cupboard of biccies, that would be lethal for me! I have been eating lots of oatcakes and fruit today, probably way over my daily calorie limit just on them alone!! I'm having spag bog for dinner tonight, going to go veeery easy on the pasta and maybe even just have veggies on the side instead! :TGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

have any of you tried leg weights? I use them all the time when I go walking 1kg on each leg - when I was fitter a couple of years back I used to use 1.5 on each leg. You can really feel them when you first start but after a while you get used to them. I have just been out for an hour with them on - hopefully that will have burnt away those extra cookie calories!
Im not sure extactly how much it increases calorie burn but when I take long strides it makes my bum ache in the morning so I guess it must be doing something in a toning way!!!
man stir-fry later- I never look forward to stirfry but I have some sweet chilli sauce which will make it more barable!
hmmm i now starting to think along the lines of spag bol too........0 -
ooo one more question....... how often do people weigh themselves? - I was trying to stick t 1 time a week but it will be two time this week now.0
-
marmalade - I love stir fries! I would swap you my spag bog for one. Speaking of which, I ate hardly any spaghetti, very proud of myself!
I weigh myself every morning, which is not ideal but it pricks my conscience about what I eat that day!
The Nutella is calling to me, must resist...
p.s. I used to go walking with hand weights but never used the leg ones, how do they go round your legs?Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Hi everyone, This is my first ever post (so I hope you say yes) but please please can I join???
It has taken me 2 days (while I am meant to be working!) but I have read this thread from start to finish and it is very inspirational and I thought being motivated by you lovely people would maybe help me.
I have been on Paul McKenna now for about 10 months and lost 1.5stone. However I kind of lost track over christmas and put half a stone back on so I am now back to 14 stone 7 pounds.
I would like to lose 3 stone to start with and then see what I look like (never been slim before, always overweight!).
My Brother is getting married in June so that is my motivation at the moment as I would like to get a really nice dress.
So what do you say guys can I join in please?
xx0 -
You are very welcome!
I am sure Dragon will be along soon to add you to the list. Remember there will be another one for March too..0 -

Sorry I haven't been around much, I had a visitor who likes to commandeer my laptop:mad:
I have been trying to be good but it hasnt worked because I have been a pig:rolleyes: Tuesday: I did a mystery shop and ended up eating lamb shank with mash (not a green veg in sight:mad: ) with a glass of pink champagne followed by this gooey chocolate truffle tort with creme fraiche and a few fresh raspberries, I couldnt eat it all:rolleyes: Then I went out for dinner and had a glass of lemonade and lime (ate the lime wedge and the lemon slice) and sausage n mash with some deep fried real onion rings. Wednesday, no breakfast nor lunch (we were out and didnt stop:rolleyes: ) dinner was lasagne from Lidl topped with fresh tomato. Yesterday, cereal for breakfast, lunch was hovis granary bread with leftover chicken, snacked on a packet of potato chips and skipped dinner because I wasn't hungry. Today I will do better, I had cereal for breakfast (I love Crownfields Wellness Flakes with Red fruits that you buy in Lidl as it tastes exactly like Special K and is less than half the price:j ), lunch will be a salad and dinner could be homemade stew (I need to cook it).
I feel a bit thinner and look a bit thinner (well I think so) so something must be right.
Well done to all those that have lost weight. Thanks Tara for re-introducing me to Nutello:rolleyes: :rotfl:0 -
Horace - I am terribly sorry for re-introducing you to Nutella, I feel very guilty! Stay away from the evil stuff if you can!!!
That's great that you are feeling and looking thinner, more important than the number on the scales imho! :T
spuddy1, welcome, good to have you with us! It's good to have a target to aim for - I want to lose 1.5 stone by the end of May but am not doing too well so far! But I haven't given up, that's the main thing! Use your brother's wedding to really motivate you and take it one month at a time. It really helps. :A
Today hasn't been great for me. I'd intended to go to the gym at lunchtime but my friend called and asked me to go for coffee, she is having a hard time at work and wanted a sympathetic ear so I couldn't say no. I felt guilty about the gym though, if only I could split myself in two! :rotfl: I've also eaten quite a lot, it's not a good day. I'm going to be extra good over the weekend, I really should just chuck that jar of Nutella in the bin (and the other one!!!).
Here's to a good weekend for everyone, I hope you have a nice time whatever you're up to.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
