  • ARGH - I wrote a lovely long reply and my internet died so i'll have to try again! You'll be pleased to know it's bound to be shorter!

Firstly - big thanks to you all for letting me crash the party so late :D!

Secondly - well done to EVERYONE! You are all doing so well and this thread is a fantastic inspiration, I'm lovin' the tips - will have to try the 15% incline/walking thing when next at the gym.

Even a loss of 1lb plzhelpmesave is fab - for starters it isn't an increase and also, have you felt how heavy a 1lb bag of sugar actually is? Give it a go!

I am quite short to whoever it was that asked (apologies memory like a sieve!) - 5'4, 5'5 on a good day. I'm not going to get too hung up on the whole weight thing as long as I look and more importantly feel better.

Also it would be nice to fit back into my size 10 clothes which like most of us here, I've refused to throw away ;-)

So we went to Frankie & Benny's for dinner this week and it's not so great for people trying to eat healthily. I should've gone for a salad I know but avoiding pudding was all the resistance I could muster.

My brain has died - can't remember what else I had said but I can assure you all it was thrilling!

    Wishing you fantastic Thursdays all!

I've done 2 bits of exercise this week and am planning to do a couple more.

    Room for another one?
I know i'm a bit, ok a lot late but i really need to to do summat about my health, exercise and eating habits.
I was following sw last year got down to 10st 4 but no matter how hard i tried i couldnt get any lower. They set my target weight at 9st 11. I know it's not impossible for me to get to that weight coz thats exactly what i weighed pre pregnancy 2 1/2 yrs ago:o. Anyhoo i kinda gave up on sw, then i got on the scales this morn and i'm back up to 10st 10! I came off the pill 5weeks ago (we've decided to try for another little un), and since then i've not been able to stop eating (i always thought it was the other way round:confused: ).
I'm not wanting to loose loads of weight, i just want to be healthy and get my body in the best shape i can ready for pregnancy. So i'd ideally like to loose the 6lb i've gained and improve my overall health and fitness.

Welcome nickynoo08!! What is it with the pill eh??? Messes us about good and proper!

Dr Dragon is so lovely and sounds like a great nurse! ;)

never too late, I am going to be lifting bags of sugar in the supermarket this evening to check how 1lb feels! :rotfl:

I went to the gym at lunch, wasn't feeling very energetic but dragged myself anyway. I did about half an hour in 10-minute segments - hill walking, then running, then back to the hill walking. It was hard going! I only just got to 300 cals, I'd wanted to get to 350 but couldn't face another minute. I'm glad I went anyway as I have been eating quite a lot today. Mostly healthy stuff but still. Why am I so peckish so often?

How do you lot deal with hunger pangs? There's a good thread in Old Style but I wanted your tips/views as well.

    Happy Thursday everyone!

Tara I don't tend to get the munchies but friends and family that do, eat crudite with a low cal/low fat dip (if you leave yourself 100 calories for the end of the day for a just in case moment!)

Dr Dragon is smashing especially as I tend to be a very impatient patient :rotfl: which with the judo bug of glandular fever tends to be a very bad thing

  • Nickynoo - :hello:  I was wondering what'd happened to you on the SW thread! How's things? You have a good Chrimbo? Exciting news about the baby!! And prob the best motivation to get in shape - if you're gonna be renting out your womb for 9 months!! ;)

Dragon - Whoo hoo!! Congrats!! Good news that the weight's heading back in the right direction! And glad you're feeling a bit better as well!

Marmalade - I had a sneaky choccie bar from Thorntons too - it's so bad, but it tasted sooooo good!! ;) A little of what you fancy does ye good and all that!!

Plzhelpmesave - Well done on avoiding Pizza Hut - and at least you'd have got a bit of exercise at the bowling - and I'm sure it was a lot more fun too!! ;) Of course there's space in my case - especially now there's much less of you - you'll hardly take up any room at all!! :D

Tara - yup - a full cupboard all to themselves (the biscuits that is!) Not so good when I have no willpower at all!! He's just gonna have to keep 'em in the car or something if we ever do move in together! ;)

As for me - looks like the holi-bags are on!! Whoo Hoo!!!!!! Got hols booked off work, the dog's taken care of as is my nephew - so all I need now is a seat on the plane - and I'll be off!! Means I need a last big push before next week though - don't wanna be taking any more blubber with me than I absolutely have to!! :D

Other than the chocolate bar, my eating's not been too bad today - and I will go to the gym tonight, I'm thinking I'll go for a swim, and I'll even walk there and back (1/2 hour either way) - I'm suffering a severe lack of fresh air these days! If I have enough time, I might even jump on the treadmill when I get there, and see just how long I can run for (which, to be honest, shouldn't really take all that long!! Tee hee!! :rotfl: )

    xx
