Thanks for all the good wishes coming out to Dr Dragon (he should get official confirmation today/tomorrow :j) re the glandular fever - yep it stops me wanting food (mind you MOST things stop me wanting food!) and the problem then is that my weight hurtles up again (stepped on the scales this morning and yep 2.5 pounds back on )Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

aaawww that's rotten Dragon - I hope you're feeling better soon! I now you have a few health problems, is that what causes your weight to fluctuate so much? If not, maybe it's just fluid retention from being ill - and it'll all just drop off when you're feeling better?
Make sure you take care of yourself though - that's obviously more important than any wee "blips" on your wieghtloss path!
As for me, getting quite excited, as mum and I have decided we just book ourselves a wee last min week in the sun!All depends on her getting someone to look after the dog - which considering she's a very pampered pooch, is causing my mum no end of stress! But it has to be done - she's off looking at kennels just now, so fingers crossed she'll see something she's happy with!!
I stepped on the scales this morning - and I've lost another 1lb since Monday! :T But hey, it doesn't count until official WI next Monday - so fingers crossed I'll hold on to it!!
The prospect of a wee last min holiday - might just be enough motivation to drag my sorry backside to the gym tonight - fingers crossed!
Plus, looks as though I might be going shopping for a bridesmaid dress at the weekend!! I had hoped to be a firm size 10 by this point, but I might just need to get it taken in if it comes to it!!

Well ladies
Its going really badly. Last week I'd managed to put on 2lbs:eek:
Although I do appear to have lost them again now ...... so i'm stuck at 12 stone 6lbs
Have also learnt that OH is going to be made redundant in April so I comfort-ate 2 bags of crisps yesterday!!
Am back on track today (I hope) and Asda are deliverying our shopping tonight (the theory being that I can't pop crisps etc into the trolley)

2 weeks off work to avoid spreading infection (really nice since she is feeling better now:j )
And .... wait for this ..... she has lost HALF A STONE over the past week. Just marvellous

Tara re the weight gain - the theory is that your body goes into starvation mode (especially when you are as podgy as me ) and holds onto every single itty bitty calorie - eventually you would lose weight (Concentration camp victims etc), but you will be very ill AND will probably have digestion problems for life.
Everyone else - well done
Sorry about DH being made redundant though SDHand eeep! to food poisoning as a weight loss tool!

Dragon are you undereating by much? I remember you saying something about being ill/meds (IIRC) messing up your system as well, that is such a giant pain in the bum!
SDH, sorry to hear about your OH and your mum. You are having a hard time of it at the minute, aren't you! (((hugs)))

My celebrity slim has turned up today, i'm just looking at these little sachets thinking - is that really it for my breakfast and lunch!!
Going to start it tomorrow so i'm having bread and butter for my tea as that's something i'll really miss as the plans low carb
SDH - sorry to hear you're having a hard time, when you think about turning to comfort food try and find a distraction. I had some bad news the other day and just before I opened the crisps I forced myself to go upstairs and try on the size 12 jeans that still don't fit me. There was no way I was eating those crisps after that, i'm very much a comfort eater too so know how hard it can be
Everyone else, are you purely relying on weight loss as a measure? A lot of you seem to be going to the gym often and might be loosing inches but gaining pounds as you become more toned.
Tara - I wouldn't trust body fat measurements on scales, it can depend on the skin in your feet and all sorts!Best Wins * wag for a day = £1500 selfridges vouchers * 4 VIP V Festival tickets * Flights to New York * £1000 *
Thank You to everyone who posts comps!
