Happy Valentines Day :heartsmil :heart2: :smileyhea
Hope you're all having a good day everyone!! And well done to all who are still thinking of, never mind doing exercise and healthy eating!Well, I definitely had the night off yesterday - and actually, another day today! The musical and hotel were fab, but the food wasn't quite so great! Makes it maddening that it was so calorific when it wasn't even that nice! Then today, I've had a steak sandwich and chips, with 2 full sugar drinks to soak up the hangover!
I'll be good for the rest of the day, and get back to the gym tomorrow though! So hopefully the damage on Monday won't be too bad!!Dragon - That can't be right, maybe your scales are a bit wonky? Are they sitting in exactly the same position every time you use them? I've found my scales weigh up to a few pounds of a difference depending in what bit of the floor they're sitting on! Other than that, I can only echo what everyone else has said re: only weighing at the same time every time day - but not sure if you were doing that anyway?Dazzle - (((((HUGS))))) to both you and your mum - that's appalling treatment you've had from your mums GP, I'm afraid I can't offer any constructive advice, as I don't know much about it, but good luck with the letter - hopefully that'll help!Horace - Sounds like there's a story developing here with the ex - you reckon he's in with a chance of redeeming himself? Just as well you didn't go for the pampering sesh before you met up with - or he'd have had a bloomin' bonfire burning away there!!Leo - Hope you enjoyed the run! And don't worry too much about the food - we can't all be perfect all the time, and at least you counteracted it by getting out and running!Jemjam - Well done on the weight loss!! :T :A
[strike]Plzhelpmesave[/strike] Dieting guru - You're very welcome!! You make lots of sense to me!And it's always good to read your posts - makes me feel a bit more motivated, cause if all of you can do it - well, there's no reason I can't either!!
Tara - erm - congrats on the visit to the loo!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Just goes to show how easily our weight can fluctuate - and why you shouldn't be upset at being slightly over on what you were the day before!!
Lilmissemmylou - Yay!!! Well done on the skinny trousers!! :T :j That's a far better feeling than any reading on the scales!! :A :T :jSarah.roberts - Happy Valentines to you too!! Enjoy your night tonight, my OH is working too, so I'm going solo to an engagement party! A girly night in front of some cheesy DVD's sounds like much more fun though!!Catch up with you all tomorrow no doubt!! Enjoy the rest of your valentines!!xx0 -
Tara do you weigh yourself at the same time each day? I was told that your true weight is first thing in the morning. My weight can go up, sometimes 4lbs during the day but is back to normal again in the morning.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Valentine's?
Had an hour and half brisk walking this morning so that was good. Not done too well on the food front - am sitting at about about 1800 cals and am definitely having a Turkish Delight and a pack of McCoys which I have been promising myself all week.0 -
Hi Guys, just calling by on the way to bed (we are two hrs ahead here)
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!
Not sure what my weight is doing as although there are scales I can't really weigh myself in the buff and even weighing myself at the same time of the day isn't easy as it depends on what we are doing.
Needless to say I've had some calorific days and some boozy ones too (well I AM on holiday....) but I am balancing that out by feeling better in myself so am going for walks and hopefully burning some of the cals off that way. I doubt I'll make my half stone this month, but if I end the month where I started, I'll be happy.
PS - Dragon, you kindly offered to take over March's challenge too. Can I take you up on that please, as I have all sorts of things stacked up for my attention when I get home, so that would be a great help.
Hugs to all

Forgive me dieters for I have sinned it has been about 2 weeks since my last diet day and I am now officially a self imposed heffalump of the 1st degree.
I have fallen woefully behind in this thread and in my dieting habits. Apart from the beginning of the month I have not been near the scales but I will weigh myself tommorrow, dreading it because I have totally gone off the rails.
Everybody seems to be doing so well, congratulations one and all, I feel such a idiot and its totally my fault nobody else to blame.
So weight watchers books have come out and I'll start afresh from today, also dug out the swimsuit and I'm off to do a few lengths.0 -
ok so i did well yesterday... up until dinner time! totally blew my calories for the day doh! and only a 3 mile walk so its not like i even exercised enough to earn it lol. Ah well back on the wagon today. Guess I can kiss bye bye to the hope of being 11st 5 tomorrow when i weigh in lol0

Hello everyone, i'm back from one of the hardest weekends i've ever had. It was a pretty intense weekend where we had to self analyse constantly. There was loads and loads of lovely food all the time, 3 course lunches and 4 course dinner. Scallops, fillet steak, lasagne mmmm. I was good where I could be!
I was quite shocked when I weighed myself to see that i've lost 1lb! I expected to stay the same this week so i'm happy with 1lb, that takes my February total to 1.5lbs. 5.5lbs to lose in 2 weeks, hmmmBest Wins * wag for a day = £1500 selfridges vouchers * 4 VIP V Festival tickets * Flights to New York * £1000 *
Thank You to everyone who posts comps!

Morning all, I haven't posted for a few days. I've felt like absolute rubbish this past week, I've had a stinking cold and my TOTM hasn't exactly helped matters!! Back on track now though...
Weighed myself this morning and I've lost 2 lbs :j:j I'm super chuffed as I haven't done a load of exercise this week. I'm starting to feel better in myself and feel lighter, I don't know if I'll make the half stone for Feb but I'm feeling more motivated than I was so I'm gonna give it a good go!!! I saw my brother last week (I hadn't seen him since christmas) and he asked me why I wasn't fat anymore......I'm hoping that was meant to be a compliment! :rotfl:
Today we're off to the in-laws for lunch so no temptation there aside from the wine. We're looking after their dog from Wednesday onwards so that's my exercise sorted for a few days.
Have a good Sunday everyoneAll the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person...

Coffeeholic - Well done!! 2lbs off is fantastic!! Especially when Aunt Flo's come a-visiting!! :T
Gemsy - Sounds as though you've had a really mixed weekend! What was the conference in aid of again? At least you enjoyed the food, even if all the self analysis was a bit draining! And well done on the weight loss!! You must've been extra good the rest of the time to pull that off!
Lilmissemmylou - Don't beat yourself up, it's only 1 meal - and Saturday night on Valentines at that - a blow out is almost compulsory! And you've done loads of walking etc throughout the rest of the week!! So it might just balance itself out! Good luck with the weigh in!
Glitterball - welcome back! You've only lost a couple of weeks, which in the grand scheme of things is nothing at all!! I'm sure you'll be back on track in no time!!
Lazydaisy - I hope you're enjoying that holiday!! And don't be worrying about dieting while you're away! it's illegal to even consider trying to be good when you're on your holi-bags!!
Leo - Hope you enjoyed your treat? The McCoys - I understand, but Turkish Delight? - It's almost a form of torture as far as I'm concerned!!
I wasn't too great yesterday either! I had a steak sandwich and chips for breakfast/lunch, slept all afternoon, then had a bowl of homemade veg soup for dinner (obviously deluded myself into thinking I was being good again! ), but then went to an engagement party, and although I drove to save the calories on alcohol, the temptation of the buffet was just too much, so I had 3 big massive pieces of pakora!!
Ah well, today's a new day! I haven't eaten anything so far, since I can't face any more stodge, but banana and yoghurt every day gets a bit monotonous - and I haven't come up with anything more inspired yet!
I'm not quite sure of today's plan yet! I'm definitely gonna indulge in some long overdue cleaning, but I may well take myself off to the gym and go for a swim! And might even venture outside for a wee walk if I'm feeling really energetic!
I weighed myself this morning, and seem to have put on 1 lb over the weekend, which isn't too bad - but official WI isn't 'til tomorrow, so we'll see how I go then!!
I hereby declare, that from now until the 28th of February, not a drop of alcohol, or any sweets/crisps/biscuits/general junk will pass my lips, and I'll squeeze in as much exercise as I can!! 2 weeks should be a doddle - right? :rotfl:

Hey Crap,
Thank yo, yes I enjoyed my Turkish Delight(s) very much - I had 2!!!!
They are Fry's Turkish Delights - you know the ones covered in chocolate - yum.
Very good day today calorie wise - am currently sitting at 1302 for the day and don't intend eating anything else today (although there are still 2 Turkish Delights in the fridge!). I use www.caloriecount.com - it's a pretty good site where you can key in all your food, exercise and weight etc and it does an analysis for you.
Tomorrow morning is weigh in - am crapping it! I do feel a bit lighter  but whether or not I am is another matter.0
