  • Thought I'd offer a bit of motivation for the wedding gang!
Crapwithmoney - well done, sounds like you're doing great with the weekend planning!
plzhelpmesave - so you've had a little blip  on the brightside you were outside in the snow, being cold and shivering burns more fat and calories than being too hot and sweating. Try and have a go on one of your exercise gadgets today, it will help you feel much better about the crisps. I'm the same as you ... have a trampette, exercise bike, a bean, many dvds, lateral thigh trainer etc etc and they rarely get used. Until now. For the first week I found it such a thought to actually go and use one of them for 30mins. I had to really force myself to do it. But after putting on my Ipod and listening to my fave choons 30mins on the bike flies by. I feel great afterwards! When I need motivation to do some exercise I think about the great feeling afterwards and I say to myself, if I do 30mins I can have a nice soak in the bath afterwards, as a treat. :o And of course the thought of a bikini scares me to do it! :rotfl:

  • thanks Sarah - i have a room full of stuff and can't be bothered to get off my !!! and use it! Read someting the other day about sitting on a gymball to help with posture - guess who has a gym ballupstairs somewhere...? Will dig that out too and try to sit on it in the evening instead of lying on the sofa.

As I was typing away, heard my son playing on wii fit - he's 4 and loves the jogging, bless him.

So now it's my turn... move over baby and let mummy get stepping - i could do it all day once i get going.

    Thanks again Sarah x

No problem, thats what the wedding gang is here for! :D
I think you've hit the nail on the head with your comment above ... if you enjoy doing the wii fit then its much easier to motivate yourself to do it! The thought of doing something is often much harder than the actual activity, but if you enjoy the activity it does help.
    Have fun!

  • ooohhhh I'm so jealous plzhelpmesave - I'm desparate for a Wii Fit but I'm too stingy to buy one!! Give us 10, and I'll pop round and we can have a go together! ;)

Sarah's right, half the battle is finding something you enjoy - and just keep picturing the look of amazement on all the family's face when you strut into the wedding showing off your slinky new bod!! :T

Thanks Sarah - planning has never been a problem of mine - sticking to it however........ ;)

but I wil, I will, I will go to Bodyattack tonight and Saturday, Step tomorrow, and Yoga and Swimming on Sunday - otherwise - someone purleeeeaaaase give me a great big giant kick up the ba'hookie!!! :D

    How's your day going Sarah?

    xx
  • Crapwithmoney - wow! That sounds like a good few days planned re. exercise. :T
I'm sure you'll have no problem motivating yourself to do it all.
Having a good day so far, I usually get an attack of the munchies when I finish work at 8pm, had one slice of toast last night but I burnt it on purpose so hopefully tonight I won't feel like toast :rotfl:
Day off from exercise today but will be doing something tomorrow ... so much to choose from in my gym room upstairs hehe :D

  • :rotfl: at the burning toast! Lovely white bread toasted, with lots and lots of melted butter - is one of my big weaknesses - but I've just stopped buying white bread - I don't like wholemeal very much, and only eat it for convenience - so there's no chance of me having more than I should! ;)

I need to fit as much into the next month as I can, I currently work full-time, but because I'm going back to uni in August, I'm starting a weekend job as well on the 7th of March, but during the training (8 weeks) I'll be working Sat/Sun 9-6 and Mon/Tue 5.30 - 10, as well as 9-5 Mon-Fri in my normal job - so I need to fit in as much exercise as I can before then, since I'll be a bit limited (in time as well as energy), for those 8 weeks!

Good luck avoiding the after work munchies - I'm sure you'll be fine though! :D

right then I own 2 horses - who have been snow/ice-bound inside their stables since monday. I can't ride them and I am itching to do some exercise..... so whoever mentioned an exercise DVD I am with you. Got myself the new Davina one. Hope its good. Never done a exercise vid before! So gonna zoom out to stable yard shortly and muck out + feed the nags, then home to do exercise vid!

Hello from Turkey! Well we arrived fine but tired, so haven't done much for the past couple of days but eat and sleep (thats normal for me after travelling)

Scared myself to death this aft - had a look-see around the gym, and stepped on the scales to check my weight.... I had put on 2lbs in the two days we have been here... gross that up for 21 days and... well, you get the picture!

Anyway, it was only later that I realised that I normally weigh myself in the buff - and today I had full tracksuit and trainers on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I must be going bonkers!!!

  • ive got an email notifying me of an interview i have on the 24th of Feb this month - I WANT size 12 legs by then. To match the size 12 tops. Me thinks a lot of watching what i eat, walking and trampette using will fill the next 2 weeks!

Walked 2.5 miles so far today and will trampette tonight too. Food wise, cereal bar for brekki(110 cals), a healthy living spinach and ricotta canelloni for lunch (325 cals) and a cup of milk so on track for a healthy day I hope.

Im hoping 1/2 a stone off will make my legs smaller (my waist is small enough for 12's as the 14's r too baggy on the waist) and if this interview isnt motivation, i dunno what will be lol.
  • Crapwithmoney - r u sure that's enough excercise love??? love your energy and planning - maybe some of it will rub off on me....

thanks dragon and sarah - u guys r right as always! Have just got off the wii - gosh i'm so unbalanced its ridiculous!! on a positive note, even though it told me off for not being on it for 3 weeks (i thought it was about ten days!!) - my BMI on 5 Jan was 32.83 and today is 30.07 - so even though i have not been as good as i could have in the last couple of weeks, at last I've done something right.

Crap - some peeps got the wii fit cheap using £30off code for certain catalogues.Think there is an additional one floating about at the moment, may be worth trying.... or check ebay.

I think the BMI numbers can be another real incentive, WHEN i lose my 7lbs at the end of this month - then my BMI will l be 29.something which takes me from the current OBESE category to just the OVERWEIGHT category.... and from there the next category is normal - whcih actually seems achievable!!

Also, thanks to you guys and your !!!-whooping, i am gonna take the kids out for a walk in the snow. Got to return something to Argos, so will walk down there - about 30mins there and back - call it an hour with 3 kids in tow!! Come home and cook healthy steamed chicken (drumsticks in the pressure cooker with vinegar and chilli powder... yum yum!!), lots of sauted veg (in olive oil) and yorkies.
