Morning all! Rain here today so no garden for me!
Toms, chillis, basil and coriander doing well in my wee poundstretcher greenhouse! Also Ive got beetroot and carrots in tubs and there are tiny shoots poking through plus my tatties have got their first shoots. Im so excited! My salad and rocket are coming on too!
I potted up a load of nasturtium and petunias at the weekend for my pots and they're looking good .
You all sound as if things are going well, well done all!

Hello everyone, how amazing it is to see how everyone's sowing and growing is coming on!! I must apologise for not posting on here for so long. I've been so busy not only with my garden, but also my college work, applying for a new job and being roped into starting off so many people with their own veg growing I never seem to stop!! I must admit I love passing on what I know and seeing people getting addicted to growing their own.
I must get some more photos posted, the difference in my garden is unbelievable, as I'm sure everyone's must be by now.
I've got dozens of lettuce on the go at the minute as last year there was just never enough and you can't beat home-grown lettuce. Put more than double the amount of garden peas in too as they went so quickly last year.
I'm kind of glad of the rain today though as I always feel obliged to be tending either mine or someone elses garden if the weather's dry, plus I'll be grateful of a break from watering!!Debt busting! Jan 2014 £7632.50 £7445.80

Ive got my lettuces poking through now, yum to Little Gems.
Loved the sunny weekend but kind of glad for this rain now, the garden really needs it! Keep badgering husband to get the tripod or A frame set up for the beans/peas now as they are getting out of control indoors now! My first red pepper is about 3 inches long now, hard and green and going strong so exciting!0 -

Lovely and sunny again today but there was a frost overnight and my poor runners have been hit! The broad beans and peas are fine.Luckily I remembered before bed to go and close the plastic cover over the toms and my new cucumber, pumpkin and courgette, otherwise it could have been a disaster...0

...did also manage to get my seed potatoes out in their containers yesterday (1 old pop up bin and 1 cheap garden bag from Tesco) in between the rain showers!0

Oh my, everything is going crazy with this rain and sunshine, my garden looks like something from a set of the triffids!! My lettuce now look like lettuce, the onions I planted last autumn are huge and the peas have grown about 6 inches in the last 3 days!!! My early potatoes have reached the top of the container too so it's just a case of waiting for them to flower before we get our first boiling of the season. Would be great if that coincides with the first batch of garden peas, the kids love making the best part of a meal from home-grown veg.Debt busting! Jan 2014 £7632.50 £7445.80
