Thanks for your efforts web people... I'm sure we all appreciate you trying to better the site.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -

Hi folks,
Thanks to MSE Ian, we've returned the Forums back to the old scheme as we were seeing some visibility issues on some monitors.
Having had a look at an alternative, could you please look again now and tell us if there was anything that the experimental scheme had over the current one? We feel that the main Foruim page is too crowded with the heavy borders, for example and the newer look opened up the page a great deal. However, the changes didn;t work quite as well on the post level.
Any further comemnt is appreciated.

There has been plenty of positive feedback on specific items in this thread already.
You should check for 'visibility issues' BEFORE you launch something.
I suspect the change back had more to do with a poll which showed that 80% did not like it and that only 7% did not like it because it was change.0 -
And here was me thinking that the change would be Martin would finally change that shirt in his masthead photo from stripey black to something else (you sure that shirt isn't in dire need of a wash by now, Martin?
)
Don't worry, Martin, I've got a lot of dark shirts in my wardrobe; the other day, I was wearing an all-black ensemble: all I needed was an acoustic guitar, a black hat, an ability to sing, and bam! I'd have been a Johnny Cash tribute act...0 -
phew, it's back to normal. Sanity returns!
The new design and colours are absolutely awful.
Definate migraine material, I think you'll lose a lot of readers if you persist with it because it will cause problems. I know it will bring on migraine with me and I'm sure many others too.
Also with no definition lines between the boards/threads it is just far, far too difficult to read because nothing is seperated, it all merges into one.
and although you may think so, I am not just moaning because it's 'change'. This particular change is going to cause genuine problems for many people. It's not something that is 'going to grow' on me either, as you hope it will, because this change is going to cause headaches.
I'd rather not visit the forum at all than know that when I do I am likely to end up with pain. Simple as that.0
